I got me a Hallmark card too.. way to choke me up Cyguy..

I gots him blue sand, 3 extra shells (one is black with a peace sign), 2 clam shell dishes, a heating pad, a coconut half shell house, some weird brown wall for climbing and some coconut shell shavings for his nest. I'll change the water everyday and keep his bowl full of lettuce, popcorn and catfood.. Apparently, he needs friends so I'm buying him two more and a larger tank when I get the funds. Tom also got a D-Rex.. which is quite amusing. My older son got a DS and some Pokemon games and my daughter got a scanner, Sims Apartment Life and a Sims Game for her DS. The baby got a few toys and some clothing. He was so cute this morning.. he almost fell asleep in his Jolly Jumper, head sagging down, long drool string hanging and his legs would NOT stop jumping.. he's passed out in his carseat atm. The kids will be further spoiled over the next few daze. BTW.. Monkey is 4 months now and a whopping 18lbs 2oz!! My biceps are looking sweeeet.

I got Tommy a D-Rex, a Bionicle and a Hermit Crab. The Hermit Crab is all set up at Uncle Max's and tonight after they're all in bed, I have to go there and bring Hermie home.. in a little jar, tucked safely in my bosom to keep him warm. Unfortunately, Hermit Crabs are NOT solitary animals, so I have to get him a friend or two.. and a larger tank. Hermit crabs can live up to 25 years.. *sigh*

I brought the Geriatric Powerset up on BMT once. I want sagging breasts.. I want them to flap in the wind when I fly.

ZOMG Son #1's Xmas concert was a snore until his class did a punk version of Deck the Halls. It was madness. Loved it!!

On another note... I scoured the stores today.. and I couldn't find a Wii ANYWHERE. ARGH!!!!

It's my 3rds birthday today. He turned 8. He's in the Autism Spectrum and when his Dad died in June he reacted indifferently. (The other kids were a wreck) Tonight it finally hit him that his Dad is gone and it was hell for both of us but I'm glad he finally let it out. I've spent the last few hours holding him and wiping away tears, and talking with him about the good times they'd shared. He's wearing his Dad's Hulk shirt and after beating up a few pillows, he feels much better. Christmas might bring more tears from all three.

Babies don't need much at first. I still don't have a change table or a nursery. He's content with his crib, swing and now jolly jumper. You might want to try children's consignment shops for baby gear. They're barely used and a fraction of the full price.

I'm stuck this year. Their Dad normally went halvsies on pressies and worked odd jobs to make sure they had a good xmas. Now that he's passed, it's all up to me, but I can't give them the x-mas that they're accustomed too anymore. I don't expect anyone else to step in and take their Dads load either. I hope I can scrape together enough to make a Wii and some games appear under the tree. It's not going to be a fun time for me, but I'll do my best to keep em happy and paste a smile on come xmas morning.

Grandparents these daze.. YEEESH. I vow to be there for all of my kids and their kids whenever I'm able. (I want to be placed in a nice nursing home one day and not the chicken shack my mother's headed to.)
