How can his poor pitching affect his hitting? I'm a bit confused.. isn't this supposed to be about having fun? Did you explain early on to the child when his ability started to wain that he ought to keep his focus or you'd pull him? I guess if you expect to turn out a few future major league players then I can see why you'd pull the kid from pitching. I dunno.. not a big sports fan.. probably don't know what I'm talking about but I can see his moms reaction reflecting how I'd feel. Basically, she saw it as her child being substandard in your eyes. She reacted to protect him from feeling that way.

As for the stinky sports gear.. try airing it out on the next warm day.. then febreeze again.. spot scrubbing it with a bit of baking soda and vineger will also help deodorize and clean it.


Had a Bowling party for my eldest boy. He got a Wii and Super Smash Brothers Brawl. He also split my old loveseat in two. Love having boys.

Just have fun with her NetMinder. Cyguy took my daughter (his "Step") last year and is taking her again this year. They otherwise stear clear of eachother, so this is the only quality time they ever get. She's bringing a friend so he'll have more fun doing his own thing anyway.

I don't think metal weapons are allowed at conventions, you may need to check that cons rules and regulations before beginning. My daughter Ash pointed this out to me when we saw a metal Key sword on Ebay but we found a wooden replica that will suffice.

I don't think you are over reacting either. It's good that you keep a close eye on your kidlings.. and there are a lot of bad influences ie: some parents let their kids friends play Grand Theft Auto for example..

Eldest son won yet another Student of the Month Award, this one being a free buffet dinner at the Mandarin.
