Quote:Good post.Someone states a dislike about exemping and you are here trying to prove their dislike wrong.
Do you realize what you are saying?
Level 20 (25) is beyond lame when you've been playing the character at 50 for years. Especially when you've been actively engaged in post-50 content for the past year+.
Your opinion is not greater than anyone elses. So stop trying to belittle those that find the exemping stupid. -
Quote:It's is my opinion, you can't tell me my opinion is wrong. If you do so, you are projecting your opinion, hence you lose the high ground arguing about logic. No where have I mentioned my sense of fun. In discussion with you, I haven't even mentioned my preference to exemplaring.
I am simply saying that 1) the "vast majority of powers" are not granted to you above level 25 and 2) the majority of "powers worth using" are likewise not granted to you above level 25.
You don't have fun exemplaring, that much is obvious. I can't argue with fun. What I can point out, however, that your reasoning is flawed.
Logically there is a reason why some of the better powers come after 25, it is called game balance. Learn what that means. -
Quote:Yes, your sense of fun is peculiar. Don't expect people to agree.Oh sure, because Fire Blasters only use their snipe and Inferno.
Or did you mean the tanks that only take a self revival and godmode power?
Or the brutes/scrappers only survive based off of the last three powers of their secondary?
Do you even realize what you're saying? -
I agree 100% that some form of compensation is reasonable and I am a NA player too.

Quote:Most non-melee characters are in for a world of hurt lol.fun is subjective, etc, yada yada, ad hominem, so on and so forth, quote the raven and all that good stuff.
I do want to see how my non-melee characters fair...
On my stalker it was a breeze, but still boring. -
Quote:Exemping down to level 20 is outright boring. I rather level a man build 1-50 then put up with exemping down to 20.Vast majority, eh?
Exemplared to level 20, you have all the powers up to 25. That's half the level progression, and the levels after 30 don't even give you as many powers/level.
You have more than half your powers exemplared to level 20.
Majority of powers worth using are beyond level 25 for clarification sake. -

I don't care if some of my set bonuses don't work. Unable to use the vast majority of powers is very boring.
When players feel that the epic feeling has been sapped (GDN, ED, etc) they will voice it because they are entitled to voice it as paying customers. -
Noooooooo it is raining now...I can't go outside to wash my car windows.

Quote:All the more reason to offer compensation.Actually I'd say "yeah" they DIDN'T know.
This is a HARDWARE move. It was just spelled out in the UStream as to what was going on here.
They JUST upgraded a couple weeks ago. I HONESTLY don't think they'd have planned two successive hardware upgrades this close together. It makes no sense. Either from a financial perspective OR a work-process standpoint.
If a shipment is delayed we offer the customers an alternative at a reduced price or even free. -
Quote:.24 cents sounds reasonable too....not enough cheeze in the world for all the whine in these last 13 pages. Your lives are so devistated by not playing you want compensation? It's really that bad?
Talk about Jonesing....
(that means an addict craving their fix)
I can wait for whatever the owners want to do to make play better in the future. Can you imagine the whineage if they didn't do this? With Free-to-play vastly increasing the server load I'm thinking there'd be nothing but problems with that, worse than you'd believe I bet.
Besides, game costs by the hour is about .02 cents an hour, 12 hours is .24 cents. What do you want for your .24 cent loss?
Currently, I am debating should I go outside to wash my car windows? It is 86 degrees already and the high is supposed to be 92....I don't want to burn my hand lol. -

Quote:If they argue enough we give them the item free or double money back. No, they aren't.
If your customer came up and said "I deserve everything you make, free," are they right? Do you just hand over the keys to the warehouse and rent a truck for them?
Or are they... oh... *not right?*
Extreme example, but if the customer was "always right," that's what you'd do - and you'd then be out of business in a month.
Customer is always right. -

My life depends on CoX. If you want to belittle me, or make fun of me because I am a nerd... fine. But that is the truth.
100 paragon points sounds fair as compensation IMO.
