  1. So I plan on playing right up until the game is turned off and the world shuts down around me. It will probably with my first 50, an Energy/Energy Blaster I made long before I really understood game mechanics like knock-back.

But before that, I'm going to log-in with each of my alts (which are many) put them in nice formal costume (tux or black dress), head to one of the cemeteries in the game (DA, Bloody Bay, Striga..) get in an open coffin, activate the self-destruct power and log out.

Seems like the best way I can think of to give some closure to these characters to whom I've devoted many hours of my life.

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions? (other than not using so many commas)

Actually, I *can* buy a bundle that I know includes HBO.

What they *don't* do is offer me a bundle of 5 random channels that *could* be HBO, HBO 2, HBO Comedy, HBO Family & HBO Signature but will *likely* be The Weather Channel in 5 languages.
  3. Selling of items through Super-Packs wildly flies against the rest of COH's a la carte system.
It hides which items are more popular and makes you buy several things you may not want in the hopes of getting what you're really after. It also makes it nearly impossible for those of us who are probability-challenged to obtain the items we would gladly pay good money for, if given the chance.

    BUT

I get that some people like the current card-collecting/gambling system for getting stuff.

So I propose letting people buy the individual items that are currently available through Super-Packs, *and* continuing to make them "prizes" available in the Super-Packs. And to keep the allure of the Super-Packs for those who enjoy them, have the individual items be prices in such a way so that the Super-Packs are a greater savings than the items purchased individually.

    You can't. And that's terrible.

You could try to make a stolen-cake costume and get 39 others to help you.
  5. It seems like a neat idea, until you realize how many memes are based on copyrighted material from pop-culture and would technically violate the terms of agreement.

Then the SFW requirement knocks out a lot of the remaining memes.

Basically, this is going to just be a lot of cat toons saying cute misspelled things.

For that matter, do the auras have all the usual placement options? (Specifically, I wanna know if Runes has a Right Hand - Combat option)

Power Set Name: Healing Potions (Pool Power)

These powers are conceived as identical to the Medicine Power Pool but intended for the non-techies, specifically for all those magic toons who want the added benefits of the medicine power pool without the “beep, beep, beep, beeeeep” techie annoyances of the medicine set.

    [u]List of Powers[u]

Healing Potion – Heals a single targeted ally. This power is interruptible.
Close, Ally Heal – same animation as Poison: Alkaloid

Smelling Salts – Frees an ally from any Immobilization, Sleep, Disorient, Hold, Fear or Confuse effects and leaves them resistant to such effects for a brief time. Protection will improve with multiple applications and as you advance in level. This power is interruptible.
Close, Ally +Res(mez) – same animation as Poison: Antidote

Self-Healing Potion – Allows you to heal yourself, you will also be wide awake and resistant to Disorient. This power is interruptible. You must be at least level 14 and have Aid Other or Stimulant before selecting Aid Self.
Self Heal, Res(Disorient) – unsure what animation to use, but does the villain temp power “Spirit Potion” have a “drinking potion” animation? If so, that’s probably the best in-game.

Elixir of Life – Revives a fallen ally, leaving him with full Hit Points, but no Endurance. The Resuscitated target will be protected from XP Debt for 15 seconds. This power is interruptible. You must be at least level 20 and have two other Medicine Powers before selecting Resuscitate.
Close, Ally Rez – same animation as Poison: Elixir of Life (can’t come up with better name than Elixir of Life)

I'm hijacking this post from the new powers thread because I don't think the Devs would make a new power pool that is functionally identical to Medicine. BUT I do think the animation suggestions would work much better with the current Medicine pool for making the set seem more universal.

I think vials and flasks make a lot more sense for "Medicine" than the machine thingy that gets used now. And it works with more origins because those bottles could just as likely be full of herbs, super-serums, mutagens, nanites, or magic potions.
  8. Can you pronounce "mitsubishi", like the motor company?

Same way, just don't say the "mi" or "bishi" parts.

Think of the "t" as though it were finishing off a previous word and stress the "s".

The text is out of date, it now reads:

    Toggle: Self +Def, Res(All) -ACC
The Personal Force Field is almost impenetrable to all attacks, even Psionics, although attacks from more powerful foes may get through more easily. Personal Force Field will also reduce the damage of any attacks that do get through. The Personal Force Field works both ways; while it is active, you can only use powers that affect yourself. Cannot be used with Rest. Recharge: Slow

So, it's basically a much weaker version of phase shift?
I was thinking of getting Force Mastery because it makes the most sense conceptually with my En/En Blaster. But I wasn't sure I wanted PFF back when I thought it only reduced accuracy (which is a precious commodity when damage dealing is your only advantage). Why would anyone want this when they can get the much better Phase Shift 20 lvls sooner?
Is there an advantage to this I'm not seeing?
