    Just tried out the build with all but the last Mako's Bite set for Bone Smasher. IT'S FRIGGIN' AWESOME.

    I'm so much less squishy, and I'm dealing out a much more noticeable amount of damage, not to mention, with my incarnate powers, I barely spend any endurance!

    One question though: Why the lower level enhancements?

    So here's the short of it: I haven't played in several years, and my Fire/EM needs some revamping to get him back in shape. I'm not rich, so I can't really afford the higher end IO sets. I've got about 180m to spend.

    His use will be for PvE. I enjoy going solo, so it'd be nice to find a way to make him a little less squishy.

    Here's my current build: I know it's pretty badly slotted, but that's where you guys hopefully come in! Ignore the levels, I just threw this together on Mid.

    Actually, I always saw the rikti as a combination of ^that dude, and the aliens from Independance Day. (the little ones I mean, that were in the bio suit).
  7. Very nice post. Organized, plenty of great points.

    Personally, I feel that, regarding the player conduct issue in PvP...Well, there are lamers everywhere. PvE and PvP alike. I find it a general problem for the game, and feel it's rather unfair to chuck it on PvP. The only reason PvP seems more "unfriendly" is because the people who do flame 'n lame are situated in a small zone with a limited number of people in it, which concentrates their hate on the few who decide to go to, say, SC, for example.

    It's not like running around in Atlas where there's a lot more people, or simply going to a different zone to get away from them, etc., etc.


    Once again, great post. Hope the PvP community gets some positive attention now from the devs.

  9. Recently I've been brainstorming a few ideas on things I've seen on CoH that would fit very well into comic form.

    I'm posting here to see if any comic artists are interested in helping me give my ideas life. This wouldn't be for any sort of profit, other than sharing them with the community for a good laugh.

    Personally, I have no artistic abilities in terms of drawing. Circles are ovals to me, basically. Still, I believe that these concepts would be pretty funny.

    The style I'm looking for is one that's cartoony, ala Penny Arcade.

    I was considering proposing this to Gabe, in exchange for donations to a charity of his choice, but I figured that it would probably take a while for him to get the e-mail, considering that he must get a lot of requests like these.

    If anyone is interested, post here and I'll PM you an overview of my ideas and how I'd like them to look.

    I can't really tell from the screenie, but if you didn't use the chaos leather, and you were trying to mock those costumes, you really need to. Oh, and use red instead of white. And skulls are like cowbells. You can always use more.

    Well, I was going to go for dark red as a second color, but when I set it all up, I really didn't think it meshed for the bony look I was going for. Ended up picking white. Used spines and spikes more than skulls for that reason. Wanted to give off the "skeletal" vibe.

    The weird thing is that on my character selection screen, I can see the enforcer chest piece that I put on him, but it doesn't show up on the character ingame as far as I can tell.

    Edit: I didn't use chaos leather, because nothing I tested seemed to be black enough for me. I wanted the body to be as black as possible, and stone seemed to do that nicely. Perhaps for a second costume I'll give Chaos Leather another shot.

    Just finished up the cape mission, so I'll probably go for the torn cape too.

    My only regret is making him the maximum height. Cave missions and the like are hell, because the camera angle continually gets messed up and put in uncomfortable positions.

    Also, I agree with the person who said I should change the sword. Apparently when I was adding in wings and set the colors, I pressed the "set all these colors the same" or whatever button. It's supposed to be black with a white aura.
