  1. I was thinking of running a early Saturday morn ouro arc around 8:30 am EST tomorrow. I was thinking of running World Wide Red for Kelcius, and I'd like to know if anyone else wanted to run it with me. Not that I'm special or anything like that but I could devote a few hours to some ouro stuff.

So I figured I'd post it here to see if anyone wanted to do the same thing.

And to be fair I'm in the Sat. Matinee so I still get in my ITF for the day.

I hear you on that one.
  8. Hmm. that is good advice.

I'd often thought of using a mostly brute squad with a FF, but after your response Pum I think I'll have to take a look at Cold a bit more.

I have a shield scrapper and it does make work of dealing with ambushes and the generals much easier, and although I have a Rad defender who does use lingering radiation, I've often thought about the toggles being far superior.

To be honest I like running the ITF and any successful one is a good one for the most part.

In a related note what strategies do you run to speed it up?
I know that having a macro to identify cysts and surgeons helps with me,.
Do you throw a toggle on a general when heading to the computer? Having one person by the door in the first mission to team tp up to the altar?

Thanks for your replies I look forward to additional insight you can provide.
  9. So as many of you know and a few that don't I tend to run an ITF every day; or at least is seems to me that I do. I have a lot of fun and I like the various ways to run an ITF. For some reason it seems that there is a decent mix between challenge and fun.

I also tend to try and run them now for speed, without being so engrossed in a speed run when I don't got under 30 minutes. Most recently the TF's I've been running end around 45 minutes (due to me being of all things a slow poke).

But it has gotten me to wondering. What is the best mix of Villians/Heroes for a speed style ITF.

So I'll pose the question to all of you.
[b[] If you could make a team for speed for an ITF what would it comprise of? [/b]

Please note that I'm not asking what you HAVE done, or pictures showing what you have done. But if you were forming a team what would be the perfect mix of AT's in an 8 man group?

If you could include the reasoning behind each choice it would make things easier.

    Thanks,
    Kelcius/Galetta
  10. Congrats for the two of you.
So who baought the wedding pack? >.>

    Looking For

I can't tell you what is a good Badge Channel, but the two overwhelming global channels work for Task forces..
    jfa2010 and Justice United
Most people are on both and if you spam a message for a TF you will get replies within a minute if not seconds.

A third channel although used less often is:
    TF for merits
and this channel also tends to get some spam for that. The problem with JFA and JU is that they are "Everything" channels so usually there is a bit of cross talk.

I'm sure others witll go into the differences of these channels but those are the ones I'd try.
  13. Well after 6 hours of playing around and with the great help of @profit I was able to get my teleporting the way I wanted to.
But first with a bit of a background. I play left handed and I use the Right shift key to jump (smaller hands) so I needed a solution to allow me to jump with the right shift key.
That meant that chrording (Combining a Ctrl;shift;alt key) + another key was out.
That meant I had other options.. assigning a different chord with shadow step and black dwarf step; or set up a .txt load file.
I thought the first way was a bit too clunky and with my keyboard I don't have many chording options that I'd like to.
So ultimately I set up the following Keys:

    /bind numpad1 "powexec_toggleoff black dwarf$$powexec_toggleoff dark nova$$goto_tray 1$$inspexecname escape$$ inspexecname emerge$$ inspexecname break_free$$bindloadfilesilent "c:\program files\city of heroes\warshadetp1.txt""

This sets up human form, eats a break free of a sort and loads warshadetp1.txt file The contents are:
    ctrl+lbutton "powexec_name shadow step"

Then I set up Black Dwarf form:
    /bind numpad3 "powexec_toggleon black dwarf$$goto_tray 4$$bindloadfilesilent "c:\program files\city of heroes\warshadetp2.txt""

    and the warshadetp2.txt file is:
    ctrl+lbutton "powexec_name black dwarf step"

So this rewrites the same chord option for each form. Now I simply hold down control (rctrl) for me and click to go. Also the sequence in the .txt files needed to be the way they are. Also note that my .txt files are in the folder with the Coh .exe file

I hope this helps out. You don't want to know how many times I needed to reset my keyboard trying to stop the chord.
  14. btw I've managed to mess up most of my bins.. i'm copy pasting from a .txt document... but that isn't working out so well.
  15. Well I've had the same problem as the OP has had. Teleporting for my stone tank works well, but for my warshade it is still buggy.
I've modified the bind to this:
    /bind ctrl+lbutton "powexec_name shadow step$$powexec_name black dwarf step"

and it works perfectly in Dwarf form.. no reticle, and I can hold down the crtl button to fire off a chain.... but in human form it will not do any of that
In human form the first time I hit it, it brings up the reticle. if I lbutton again I fire it off once.. then I need to lift off the crtl button in order to cycle through the bind (which works with the lbutton activating the power)
So what is wrong with how I'm doing it?
  16. Followup:
Most of my binds work perfectly... except the teleport part. Sometimes I get a reticle showing up and have to activate the bind again for it to go off..
So I've been following this thread
    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...=teleport+bind
which states that lclick is not a valid keyname and that it should be Lbutton.

I'm hopeful wit ha reworking of some of the binds that I get it to the point that the reticle does NOT show up, and that the binds work as my stone tanks teleport does.
  17. Hey Bob I know it is late, but Happy Birthday!
  18. Wow I need to learn from you guys although I think macros help a whole bunch for ITF's.
  19. Happy Belated Birthday Philly!

Hmm, I'll have to figureout how to get the base inspiration vendors close enough so I can also sell recipes that I can't sell on the market.
I'd love this as a solution as it provides everything in one area. Also it makes bases a bit more useful.

I also havea machine above spec.. but I've had some DC issues in general and a few from WW.
  23. so as a partial answer to the question in the first tread.
One power pool to contemplate taking is the:

Concealment pool simply for slotting Luck of the Gambler. For the same reason people also take the

Jump pool for Combat jumping, and the

Speed pool for both Hasten (which is preetty much an all archtype Standard) and for also getting superspeed as both a travel form and also to hold a stealth (if it can still)
