Actually I did some tampering with the game settings, turned the graphics down as low as it goes and then did some tinkering with my system. I'm not sure what I did or how I did it but I followed some tutorials, cleaned up my disk space some, and updated my drivers and now it plays just like I remembered it a few years ago. I gotta say thanks to the guy that suggested the link that led me to the driver updates.

Quote:Well excuse me for having bought my laptop almost a year ago. It's not like I know a whole bunch about computers so cut me some slack. I'm at AIT in the Army and just wanted to get back into CoH to play on my free time when I'm not training.what can I do to speed up the game-play so I'm not laggy like I am now?\\
Someone already told ya. Dont' buy laptops with intel graphics solutions if you expect to game anything beyond Solitare.
That's the main problem there.
Laptops with higher end Nvidia or ATA mobile chipsets are the proper solution for anyone that expects or desires to game with a laptop. Period. -
Quote:Please post the results of these two programs CoHHelper and Hijackthis But Just guessing I'm going to say it's because your laptop has an intel video solution rather than a decent video chip. And out of date drivers.
CoH really doesn't run on laptops any more except for high end gaming laptops. How old it is doesn't matter nearly so much as what the manufacturer intended it to be used as.Quote:---System information gathered by CoH Helper version 0.2.0.2---

Well after a few years of being out of the loop I went out and bought the new City of Heroes Going Rogue for my laptop which is less than a year old. I used to play the original COH on my parent's computer back in the day and decided to get back into the game I spent playing for days on end.
Well I've run into some issues, all of which I've been able to fix myself but one now. For some reason when I go through the character creation process, when I get to the part that I'm setting my character's physical build, height, and all that, my character is invisible. As in there's no character there. Everything else works just fine though. Well if I skip it and go on to the next page for my costume well he's a really really faint whitish silhouette. I can barely make out any definitive features.
So simply put, what is going on and how do I fix it?
