Hmmm maybe the title for my other piece should be "gotsome"?

Shia.
His piece has a great sense of scale and depth, but you can also see the expressions on the characters close up. I think he also has more outright destruction with the spaceships crashing and the big hole in the skyscraper. -
Np Chris! I was lucky enough to have some people turn out despite it being a holiday. I'll do another this Thursday at the same time. I don't have a particular subject to talk about at the moment. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to share, although I can always just record work on a book piece.

Hey guys,
This is an image that's part of a larger composition in the book, but I thought I'd post it here. I tried to take a more stylized approach--looked a lot at Bruce Timm's art for inspiration. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

This is starting up in about 45 minutes guys, hope to see some of you there.

I suck at inking. But it is something I return to a lot because there are a lot of people who have really cool linework as the basis of their visual style. So I play with it from time to time...and fail, and go back to shading.
But I did buy this download on inking recently, and even from watching this youtube demo I think you can get some insight into things you might want to try:

Nate, the guy drawing is a phenomenal inker and the inking is really primary to his process. He draws a really basic layout in pencil to serve as a guide and then details and adds feeling as he inks. One thing you'll notice right away is how in addition to varying line weight he uses texturing to suggest tonal range and volume. Through the video he breaks up his contour lines along the edge to have them suggest the volume of the forms better (it's easier to get by watching him do it than trying to put it into words).
The other guy is El Coro (Justin Kaufmann) from Conceptart.org. He's also an amazing artist and I've learned a lot from his instructional vids. But he's a nut, really funny guy. -
Here's hoping! Would be great to have some people there tonight.
I was just looking at the Livestream site and it looks like they've updated their interface a little. Looks like the "on demand" thing is gone and there's just a library of the recorded streams below the viewport. -

Will my degree transfer if I move to another server?

A graduation ceremony?
Are the graduates going to recieve a diploma?
Are the mentors in this program going to be certified instructors?
How much pomp and circumstance are you going to cram into people trying to have fun in an online video game?
Please tell me that at the graduation ceremony, all the mentors will line up. And the graduate will walk down the line and the Principal or whatever (presumably you) will do an emote of handing something over. I think that would top online wedding ceremonies. -
Hi guys,
I think I'm going to do another livestream broadcast on Thursday, 10:15pm est. This will be more along the lines of me just working on something, rather than the demos I did before, but I've been working on a new Massacre Melanie piece and it raised a couple issues that I thought people might be interested in. -
Terada Katsuya Probably my single biggest influence in terms of digital painting.
Bengal Nice use of color -
Missy K is an original art forum gangsta. Welcome back!

The really surprising thing to me is just how many people were left in the lurch. As long as people keep crawling out of the woodwork, I think its appropriate to share stories and keep track of whatever contact info is available.

Ok, I just uploaded a teaser sketch of Danger St. Clair. Weeeeeee that's 30 roughs completed. From this point on, I will be dividing my time between finishing the ones I've already posted and developing new drawings, as well as designing the layout and copy of the book. I'm going to have a slightly longer post on Deviant art covering some other issues, so please check it out if you're involved with the project.

Quote:Two sets why? The character is a mutant. She could just have cat ears. In the majority of the artwork that has been done, that area of the head is covered by her hair so you don't see human ears regardless of the backstory. Costume or not, the tail is generally portrayed as lifelike and expressive, especially in the Got Milk piece where its posture has added significance. And certain things don't make sense no matter how you cut it, as is true with any comic book.
I also believe she has said costume part... Which makes sense or she'd have two sets of ears? -
So I am I the only one that works on the assumption that the ears and tail are actually part of her body lol?

I'm going out of town this weekend but there's always indemand.

Six months later I still have not received a refund. -
A few villains attack a scrapper and a troller. The troller gets killed. The scrapper pops a bunch of purples and starts running back to the hero base. Right when he's about to die, the troller tps him back to the base and says:
"You guys may have killed me, but you'll never get Kid Dynomite out from under me!"
Angry peacebringer taunts me:
"You're just mad cause I have more credit than you" -
Hey guys, just uploaded a sketch of Kheldarn's Savannah Nightwolf.

It's a Japanese character named Warumono (usually translated "Bad Guy".)
