Flush my immediate plan is to work on my newly created Warshade - Nexus Storm.
I've also got a tonne of other toons who need some love (namely a fire/fire blaster and a plant/thorn dom)
Oh and my name... well it's from my main (lvl 50 fire/dark/mu brute) I wanted him to be a science experiment but the name i originally wanted (Skorn, i used it as my Q3A handle back in the day) was taken so instead i wanted to give him a number... that was the first that came to mind, no doubt because that was the spec of the first PC i ever played on.
And many thanks to everyone. It took me roughly one year to get this guy to 50 but it was worth it -
Mega Uber Grats of Doom Mr Snowmageddon, now you just need to get your villain up too
-
Lol of course.
Naturally I'm aware that there are cetain issues regarding this little 'suggestion' of mine.
Namely that EATs arn't due till i11 at the earliest (i'm thinking more i12,13,14) and as such there are possibly many more costume parts due to come.
However once a prize has been decided on, i will be sure to honour it even if i decide in the end not to use the costume.
So if anyone really wants a set of wings but doesn't want to grind/pay for them you know where to come
Thanks -
Greetings all.
I've been busy over the past few days/weeks trying to think of a 'new' costume for my main alt
[Four Eight Six, Fire/Dark/Mu Brute]
The reason behind it, is im looking to create a 5th costume that can be used by this guy, and eventually (whenever they get released) by his EAT self as his first costume.
His style has in recent months become that of his VG's; arcane and his previous two costumes are as follows.
Build - Normal Male
Head - Theif Hood, fire-red eyes, horns coming from side sweeping down and out with face mask over mouth.
Body - Medievil tights with black toga, pain pad shoulders and metalic skull gloves.
Legs - Medievil tights with Metalic skull boots
Cloak - Tribal half mantal.
Second cossie same as above but with differences.
Head - Half helmet - completly samuari (style 3) with crown horns
Back - Dragon wings.
Neck - Neck covered to hide the awful anti-neckline that tights medievil gives.
*************************
Naturally this final costume needs to change. Firstly because the toga will not be available to me when i finally create his EAT self and secondly, because i'd like some variety from his 4th and 5th costume.
As you can probably guess this month i was awarded Samuari costume parts.
The things i would like to keep are simple.
I want to keep the samuari-horned helmet and the dragon wings.
His colour theme is black and red (6th from left).
As such i would like to propose a little costume contest to see if anyone can come up with a suitable costume I can use that will be similar enough to retain the medievil lord theme while also be able to be used when they finally release EATs villain side.
I am unsure as to what a prize could be, maybe i'll buy the winner an invention costume piece of their choice.
Anyway, let me know what you think, any suggestions or just pure flamage.
You can also contact me ingame if required
@Four Eight Six
ps. If you need i can provide actual details regarding what he's wearing at present (at work atm so details not to hand).
Thank you -
Wow, all i can say is wow!
I've got some of your work on the VG's site and with your permission i'd love to put that up too (something has changed in your style, posibly making it look more cartoony, and i love it). -
Grats April Snow! I teamed with you yesterday with my Storm Defender, your heals rocked vs Diabolique!

As such to suggest that someone who is not a member of said group, who does not team with or talk to said group, joins their 'private and unofficial' channel is increadable.

The Forumites channel is A.) Not private, you want to join, you join. B.) Still under all the rules of the game and the EULA
[/ QUOTE ]
I say it is a private channel, because it is not one that everyone is automatically a member of. (unlike help, global etc).
And the irony about it not being a "clique, a group, a tribal mentality of people" is that such a thing is impossible. Every 'group' and in turn channel that is ever created is always done for an 'in' group. Take the many channels created by and for SGs. it is for that SG. they are the IN group, all others who can't read it are part of the OUT group. Plus by simply giving it a name that designates a group of people, it is stating that it is a channel for the forumites. If however it was called the General Discussion Channel, that would be a different matter. But that is not it's name -

why don't the PvP crowd use the Global Arena Chat which everyone is a member by default
[/ QUOTE ]
Because the Arena channel is there for Arena/PvP releated chat?
[/ QUOTE ]
The same goes for the Global channel. My point is that the PvPers already have a global for that, the off-topicers(by lack of better word) do not have one. It is not fair with any of the groups to be trown out of the only good server-wide channel.

2nd, there is a global channel for random stuff, asking help, etc. It is called Forumites.

I am assuming the above comment is in fact a joke, am i correct?
Under no circumstance do I, or would I ever consider myself a 'forumite'.
I may post here and there on these boards, but that is because as a consumer of the game CoX, and considering how what is posted on these (the Official EU Message Boards) boards sometimes have a direct effect on the outcome of the game and it's systems, i want to ensure that my voice and my oppinions are heard.
We all exist within 'in and out' groups, it's part of being human. Us vs them. As such as an observer of the message boards for nearly a year now i have seen that these pages themselves have also become another example of 'in and out' groups. After all it's human nature to do such. The label 'forumite' is all part of this. It's classic tribal mentality, something that no matter how hard we fight we can never loose.
As such to suggest that someone who is not a member of said group, who does not team with or talk to said group, joins their 'private and unofficial' channel is increadable.
If i wanted to talk in game about general information, there is no way i would want to join a channel that is moderated and run by an unofficial (i am assuming this is the case), especially as it will have (as is the case with all private channels) it's own rules and terms of conduct.
While this may sound like an attack on the channel and it's users, that is not the intent. It is mearly a statement of observation and reason as to why the suggestion of using said channel for anyone to talk chit-chat on is not in reality one that many would be happy about.
We all live in exclusive clubs. Not everyone wants to be in each other's club.
**Note**
After reading Bridger's above post. If this post seems like bickering, then I appologise in advance -
While i remember (because i keep forgetting)
If this is still going, i would love it if you could add:
Four Eight Six/Science/Brute/Fire/Dark/Mu
Thank you! -
Mega Uber Grats to Sister Sever for dinging 50 on Halloween night! That now makes it two characters getting 50!
WE LOVE YOU!!! -
Hi there, New to these boards, but been playing since early December. Anyway.
Now while this may initially sound like a 'nerf' post. please note that is not my intention at all.
In my oppinion, Stalkers (in general) in thier present incarnation are in the most part, 'beardy'. (A term i remember from my childhood playing Games Workshop. It's name came from the Dwarf army. The idea behind it, that if you built your army a certain way, your Dwarfs were basicly undefeatable. In other words it's summed up by "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should").
Well i remmeber my first time in PvP i got my [censored] handed to me by a Stalker (a particularly annoying one at that).
My response was to try and defy the stalker process and so i created the stalker im playing at the moment.
Now the 'interesting' thing is, in my VG (The Evisceration) alot of them have commented on how 'dumb' or 'foolish' my toon is, on the grounds that i have chosen NOT to take 'Placate'.
Now i have my reasons for this decision. My stalker is a CoX version of my AvP Predator Clan member from way back (don't know if anyone knows of any of the original AvP clans).
Well the idea was all about honour, similar to what "Kitty_Hellfire" said MANY posts back. My idea behind the toon is "is the kill honourable?". In a number of instances the answer is 'Yes', but this is not because of the 2 consecutive hits that Placate allows. In many instances instead it's an honourable kill because while playing in character i have removed my 'hide(aka cloak)' and taken the individual on 1v1. And in turn using 'hide' to get to the fight undetected, and maybe using it to remove the 'less worthy' targets.
Yes most of the time i loose in this way, but i don't mind. After all i don't play 'to win'. I play for the enjoyment of playing and for the community that my VG and others provide.
Also as a final note. There is no shame in loosing a PvP fight with a completly un-buffed toon (if anything i see it as the opposite.) There is a tactic in creating a character, and buying LOADS of inspirations to make your toon untouchable... well it's beardy.
Thank you for your time.
