So, I took about a 2 year hiatus due to having a baby which meant ZERO free time. Now that said kid is older and more independent, I have some time to be immature and play CoH again.

Why 47? Back in college I worked in a cube farm for a large company. We were each assigned "operator" numbers so they could keep track of where files were and such. Every file that touched my desk I had to stamp with "Processed by Operator 47." I have the name Mercury because that was my old Battletech handle when I used to compete in tournaments.

Well, not that I like the idea of busty women in bikinis and heals kicking butt (you won't see any of my characters in a " suit") I will say I have more fun playing a female character rather than a male...

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that for so long, gaming was (and still pretty much is) a male dominated culture. Since it's starting to become more popular with females, you start to see a variety...

For a long time, video games featured just male icons... eventually they came around to feature some butt kickin' female icons like Laura Croft or characters like Tifa from Final Fantasy. Sure for the most part they're scantily clad... but the idea that you can be strong, smart, AND beautiful does appeal to a lot of girls.

Operator 47 and me

Hmmm... I wouldn't say I necessarily *look* like my toon... but we do have similair qualities... (height, hair color, ect.)

Very well put. However, I feel you may be preaching to the choir a bit here.

A lot of what you say/advise will fall on deaf ears. Haters want to hate. If people get bored with the "lack of end game content" (becasue, you know, it's the end of the game) let them leave. In the meantime, I'll still continue to enjoy the game and have fun playing my lvl 50 for a long time.

I don't mind stalkers at all... I just find them boring to fight. It's pretty hard for a stalker to take down my regen. They AS, then run away... and I'm still fine. it remids me more like the buzzing of flies.

Seriously, if I'm standing alone, why not try to finish the job? My toggles have dropped, it shouldn't be THAT hard. Seriously, I had 3 of the little buggers on me last night. They would AS, then run away... being a regen, that just let me get back to full health and end. After a while, I stopped trying to chase/follow them. I just ignored it.

My stalker is to low to PvP yet, but in PvE I at least stay and fight. The whole "lancing" technique just gets boring to deal with in my opinion.
