Remember though that some people are out just for personal gain and whine until people take notice.
I think the devs know what the're doing on this game though.

Many won't believe this, but most balancing (or not fixing of claimed imbalances) is based on datamining as opposed to volume of complaints, or so claim the balance folks when I talk to them.
Board posts/complaints do make folks run different queries on the actual live data however to see if there is fire with the smoke, so it's well worth posting if you see something that appears off.

Which is the way it should beI used to play planetside and they tried a bit to hard to please everyone. Everything ended up being watered down.
Of course if too many people say something is wrong then obviously it shouldn't be ignored.
The thing that springs to mind was the SG and the lengthy threads and "I'm quitting" and "OMG THEY NERFED SG" posts.
I read about the tanker changes (I'm a blaster) and have to say again the devs showed that they listen and have the best interests of the game at heart. Instead a good all round solution was found which is great.
I'm waiting for an official AoE thread to appear as I've just got inferno and need to post. -

They are a rare breed. Less than 10% of video game developers are women.
The article is a good read.

Yet half the characters in this game are female. Scary really.
CuppaJo is female, yet gets called a he on these boards sometimes. Must be the beard. -

Just for the record, we're really happy with the COH community - it's one of the best, most positive, communities of the games we play, with a far higher level of intelligent, well-thought-out posts than average - no BS. People are passionate (of course) and not every post is positive (by any stretch) or on-target but all in all we like it, warts n' all. We need the feedback to make the game better, both positive and negative, and our time on the boards is well-spent.
Yes, we all know the average industry bar is low (heheh) but I actively like visiting our boards.

Buff to Tankers + no nerf to Scrappers = Great job devs.
Good luck Tankers, I hope this happens for you guys.

How cool is that for you tankers and scrappers!! -
Thing is, when you buy something how often do you make the point of going back just to say thanks or well done. Yet if you buy something and you aint happy whats the first thing you do? Complain of course.
I say credit where it's due. -

No - we're not done with Super Reflexes. It's still "on the list" of ongoing issues, but it's sort of on a back burner right now.
The number one priority is to get Expansion 2 live. After that, it's fixing the problem that the game is TOO easy post level 25ish (and AOE attacks just rule). Then I'll be returning to dear ole' SR. Promise.

Is it specific AoE's or all of them? I've not been following this issue but suppose I should as my main is a lvl 31 fire/energy blaster. -
An excellent solution from the devs, keep up the good work.

Hi 3clipse,
Just type this from the game chat line:
/bind f "powexec_name sprint$$powexec_name fly$$powexec_name hover"
This will make sure that Sprint is turned off (don't want to waste end, do we?) and turn on hover. Once hovering or flying it'll toggle between the two. You can change f to any key you'd like.
Then type this:
/bind lshift+f "powexec fly$$powexec hover$$powexec sprint$$powexec sprint"
This sets it so shift (only the left shift key) and F toggles both Hover and Fly OFF, and puts you back into ground mode with sprint on. Make sure you're NEAR the ground, or you'll hit it hard
For the rest of you, I'm working on getting the more complex binds up, but was busier this evening than I planned. Will have them up before tomorrow, though.

Sorry didn't explain myself properly. Switches between hover/fly automatically.
I used the f key toggle for ages now, thanks for that anyway. -
I'd like a simple bind that switches between Hover/fly and nothing else. I'm a bit of a noob.
Can some one help?
