Posted about this error. No one seems to be replying to it. But it's going to make many arcs now unplayable.
It's also ridiculous that they made a 300 character limit to character descriptions when some of their characters By default are longer then that. -
Let me give you an example of the problem:
You choose to have Statesman as an Ally so you use the Ally feature in the mission. You keep the bio that NCSoft wrote for him in Character Description. You could do that beforehand.
Now if you do that it says "Improperly Formated HTML, exceeds character limits." The character limit for Descriptions is 300, but Statesman's for example is 414 character long be default.
Sure you could change it but why would you want to? -
"HTML Errors Exceed Character Limit" on default descriptions. Normally if you were writing a bio you cant go past the character limit, but NCSoft has written specific Bios for their characters that are longer then that. It was fine before, I even had an Arc with these characters that had no errors. Now this pops up.

Good to know I'm not the only one encountering this problem. I guess I'll have to wait until the developers can fix the bug.

So... I'm using Positron as a contact for a story arc I'm making. When I first leave and exit a mission, he's suddenly crouching on the ground. Kind of like a he's a cat ready to pounce. I'm not using anything that might causing the contact to do a different animation (( in fact there isn't even an option for it )). So... Bug?

Just a question though, is Self Destruct usable on players in PvP?

As I seem to recall, there was much negative response to the wedding pack. The same excuses were given. A few emotes, some costume parts for a little extra money. Lots of players told NCSoft they didn't want to see them pull off that stunt again. Yet here we are now.
I'm not saying that the new stuff doesn't look cool or that the company shouldn't try and make money. But they've been going strong for the past 4 year and now with a monetary system in place, I still see no reason why they need to change or do these things. I;d be just as happy to shell out 10 dollars for each issue they brought out if they included these boosters with them. We pay for expansions in most MMOs, I don't see a problem in giving them money for a whole lot of new content. What I do not like is how all these little things they come out with are just 10 dollar candies you can buy just to sugarcoat the game.
They get money off of monthly subscription fees.
They make money off character transfers.
They make money off additional character slots.
They make money off ad endorsments now.
They make money off a wedding pack.
Now they make money off a Cyborg Pack.
Need I go on? They're not in bad shape. -
Wow. So when did NCSoft start becoming a marketing [censored]? Don't go the way of WoW, with it's always wanting to sell you stuff.
It's just like the wedding pack fiasco. Buying a few emotes and costume parts seem to be the thing nowadays. Why not make em available as recipes in Wentworths or something? At least then there be some other things of value in it, plus getting one will make the player feel like they accomplished something. Instead, your trying to pad your wallets again. But you are a company so we should expect that. -
I am going to buy this, the only reason being is that I think the throwing emotes might make a good RPly tranformation sequence when you want to change from civilian to Super powered person.
The added effects of course being the costumes.
Here is where the but comes in. This kind of stunt is pretty bad NCsoft. I am only justifying this because you have given us many, many expansions all with great and improved content and not asked for a dime other then the subscription fee we pay. So it's not as if you've turned into cheapskates yet.
But I do feel that a few costume parts and a few emotes is a pretty lame amount of stuff to pay money for. I say either give us some more meat in the content or don't charge us money if this type of thing comes up again in the future.
