Oh, and if you think the videos are cringe-worthy, you should probably avoid the songs.

Hush now with your shameless plugs

    [/ QUOTE ]

I take it that means you don't want to know I'm currently storyboarding a music video for Paragon City?

lmfao. mI found that bloody funny. lol. you must've been pretty embaressed like that. I wouldn't have the guts to do that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Embarrassed? ME? I don't embarrass easy, believe me.
  4. I realised, whilst poking around with FG earlier, that I haven't done any Task Forces. Therefore, I propose that today, Sunday 30th of April, since it's the last day of the month, be Task Force Day.

Starting with Positron and working out way onwards, I'm throwing down the challenge to get as MANY TF's complete in the space of one day.

Impossible? Probably. Foolhardy? Most definately. However, if you're up for the challenge, then come meet me by Positron at 12:00 BST. If there's more than eight of us ready for the challenge, I propose we split into teams, and see who gets the farthest.

    LET'S KICK THIS PIG!

I've worked for many, many years to have my accent unidentifiable. That generally means that I'm not going to let you in on it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hmmm, you certainly take this whole secret identity part of the Hero lifestyle to heart

    [/ QUOTE ]

...Or it could just be that I grew up in a very lower class environment, and I've tried extremely hard to distance myself from it. Although, admittedly, the accent does come back every now and again.

Interesting piece of AAB news: I got my first US fan today. Maybe I'll end up inundated by COH US questions! Since none of you guys are asking any, it'd be nice.

Are you from London? 'Cos your voice sounds like it...

    LMAO

Nice guitar work, how long you bin strumming?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was very, very tempted to make this the next Question, but even I can't ramble on about guitar playing for that long. I've been playing the guitar now for 14 years - I used to be pretty damn good, but I've barely touched a guitar in recent years, save a few practical demonstrations on products at Toys R Us, and my skill has atophied, the calluses have faded, and I have to constantly remind myself that my thumb doesn't go -there-.

    That's a link to someone's e-mail, not the site

...Out-smarted by the Forums once again. YOU WIN THIS ROUND!

Yeah, it's the e-mail address the AAB questions should be sent to. "Jason Tucker" is the name of The Fire Guardian, after all...

Right. I'm taking a break for the Bank Holiday weekend. I'll still be around in the game, though. But, since it's a holiday, I put together Episode Three!

    Enjoy.

We need to get you sectioned

Very funny work, more i say, more!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, I've got four more questions to work from, although I'll probably end up tackling three of them in one webisode, since they're all from the same person. The other question should prove to be a lot of fun, as it's a forum specific question. If you guys want to see more, then you need to ask a question! You can access the (crappy for now) Ask A Ben homepage, by clicking the link in my sig, or to e-mail the question, directly, just click here: Ask A Ben!

  15. Fire_Guardian_EU

    Dear lord, no.

Oh, it was a fine question for the first episode. Gave me a chance to mess around with the editing in a way that a question like

"So, when's Issue Seven coming out?"

    Never would have.

Actually, that's a thought. You know who I'd love to Ask A Ben question? Bridger.

I signed a contract completely sweeping aside any and all responsibility I'd have (although I still get royalties)!

    Very swish camera work, and...um...dialogue.

You could easily make this a regular thing, heh. But no, no Augury for you.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And that dialogue was scripted and well rehearsed before recording...heh. I actually trimmed that down from three minutes to one.

Incidentally, guys, If you don't want to download the video, you can watch it on YouTube.

    Dear lord, no.

Taking one more step down the road to sheer insanity...after a long and random chat on MSN with Syra, she propositioned me to create a video akin to Ask A Ninja.

Here's the result: Ask A Ben - 11 meg WMV to download
    YouTube Hosting

No apologies for the randomness. Obviously, if it takes off (and there's no reason why it shouldn't, as I doubt very many people would ask me questions...) I'll find some proper hosting for it, and churn out -real- ones. Send a question via the e-mail, and we'll see what happens!
  20. Well, personally, I don't mind the type of forum used, as long as it's concise, easy to read, and it gets used. As a regular forum user (not just me, but I mean in general) I don't think te way it's constructed matters as much as the content.

Fire, are Milk Floats your new bag now?

It may be easier to catch up with you during your posts at any rate

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yup. Although, admittedly, Pepsi Floats are more fun.

Since something I started working on has completely frozen, I may as well put up a song from it. See, a while ago (and I mean aaaages) I started putting together a musical, out of tribute songs. Since I'm pretty well versed on songs from musicals, I figured it wouldn't be that hard. And, to be honest, it wasn't, although the characterisations were killing me. This is the song which introduced the main character, Tim_Ocence. (Innocence, see?) - if you've ever seen the animated musical, Cat's Don't Dance, this is from the song "Danny's Arrival Song", which is sung by Scott "I don't want to be associated with Quantum Leap" Bakula.

Ever since I was a child,
    I had a dream.
    To wear spandex
    And be a Superhero.
    I bought a game
    Installed it and now
    I’m in Atlas Park.
A big star on my back
    Spandex up my [censored] crack.

    You can be anything
    If you want.
    A Boulder man, or a Batman clone…
    I didn’t say that.
This is my kind of game,
It’s as clear as the nose on your faces
    Now all it needs
    Is just a place
    Where we can meet
    An’ maybe have a race!

    Paragon!
There are many sights to see.
    Maybe I’ll hit Pocket D.
    In Paragon.

    Paragon!
    Where the Heroes ignore me.
They just call me a Newbie
    In Paragon.

    Dig that guy.
He’s the first one I have seen to fly.
I think I saw him in a comic book,
If you know where to look.
    Look at me!
    I’m gonna level up quickly
    And then I’ll turn into
    The Guy To Be.
    Just watch me!

(Tim walks around Atlas, getting ignored by people)

    Paragon!
    Where everyone’s the same
Where we pay to play this game.
    Right here in Paragon.
  22. Top drawings, and a puntastic subject line? I'm adopting you.
  23. I was flicking through my failed song archives, and I came across this. I only have the first verse and chorus, but I recorded it anyway. And yes, that's my voice, and no, I haven't done anything to alter the tone, pitch, or whatever.

I Believe In A Thing Called Inf

    Lyrics:

    I can't believe
    That that the tailor shop
    Is so pricy
I gotta get a new costume
    For the Beach party

    Team with you
    Team with me
    On the way
    We will get XP

I believe in a thing called Inf
We need it in the game to buy
Lots of things like clothes and stuff
If we don't have it we will die
I believe in a thing called Inf
