It's an Arachnos themed map that had a big conference room table on the initial level, then has an elevator leading down.
Would anyone be kind enough to tell me which map I'm looking for? I've tried at least a dozen arachnos maps already and it's becoming painful to check each one this slowly...
Any help is much appreciated! :3 -
Parry is fantastic and unless you're capped on melee defense(which might be possible with SD, I've never played it), I would recommend it every time.
Also, I could be mistaken, but I don't believe Combat Jumping and Hover can stack, it's one or the other. Unless someone would like to correct me. -
Hello everyone! I've been playing CoH for a good while (off and on since release) and have mainly played Defenders/Corruptors with the occasional Scrapper, but I've decided to try out Brutes since they're supposed to be good at SMASH!
So as someone who never really got into the whole IO thing (Fate Saber is a bit frankenslotted, everyone else uses SOs and regular IOs), I wanted to see what a good build might be for an Elec/Elec Brute. I've got one up to 30 right now and he's been a ton of fun to play so far.
I was hoping someone would be kind enough to post a build that could do well with basic IOs and also one I could eventually grow into something that has full sets and zaps faces. -
Quote:It's because I <3 you. :3Wow, that really brought back some memories! LOL! Great...now I can't get that song out of my head! Next up...Journey or The Police! :-) Thanks Fate!

Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light. Those days are over, you don't have to sell your body to the night. -

Quote:Yeah, sorry, I suppose "scrappy" is kind of confusing considering we have "Scrappers". I was using it to define "full of fighting spirit", not to draw a parallel to our own Scrapper class.Should change that to "blasty" controller. I initially read that without the "s" in "scrappy". =P
Sorry. -
Dark/Dark is fantastic and a very friendly set for new defenders. The biggest learning curve for it is how to use your cones well, but becomes incredible once you do. I love my D3 and it's a joy to play on any team. Solo is more of a slow and steady pace, where I'm never in any real danger of dying and I always kill everything, it just takes a bit of time.
Rad/Sonic is also amazing, maybe not quite as friendly to a new defender as Dark is, due to the large amount of toggles. Once you've got everything up and running though, it melts through packs of enemies at a rather frightening pace. My RSD is great to play on a team who knows not to kill the giant glowing baddie, but rather less enjoyable on a team that likes to target the glowie first. Quite solo friendly as well once you get all your toggles running.
Those would be my two recommendations for a first time defender.
Just as a quick after-thought, a D3 will play kind of like a scrappy controller once you get Fearsome Stare and Tenebrous Tentacles. -
Thanks for the info, Red Valkyrja! He waited a couple hours and it finally let him access his account, so all is well!

My friend and I just purchased the Going Rogue expansion and are re-activating our accounts. The problem is, my friend didn't remember his account name or password (it's been over 2 years since our accounts were active). After a few failed attempts, we managed to figure out his account name, but couldn't remember the password, so we used the "Forgot Password?" option to have a reset password sent to his e-mail. So far so good.
The problem is, every time he tries to log in to re-activate his account with the new reset password, the system informs us that there have been too many failed login attempts and to try again in a few minutes. After waiting an hour, he tried again, but the same message popped up. He tried having a new reset password sent to his e-mail, but that new one just brought up the same message.
Any suggestions or advice? -
Awesome, thanks for clearing that up for me, everyone.

I'm still fairly new at the whole IO set thing, so forgive me if this seems like a silly question...
Do the procs (Numina's +Regen +Recovery, etc...), err, proc, if you slot them in auto powers like Fast Healing? -
Poor satire thread is satyrical.

Working 9 AM - 9 PM.
Of course, every moment not spent working will be spent playing. But I need 6 hours of sleep to function, so that doesn't leave as much time as I would like. Hmm, maybe I can call in sick on Friday...

*Whistles appreciatively* Thanks. I was very "on the fence" about my little cage, but I think I'll take it now.

I will provide you however with a tool that I consider to be very valuable, a bind! Using this bind is simply one of the FASTEST ways to buff up your team with both shields. Create a directory to place the bind files in, I place mine in a directory called c:\CoH. Then create the two text files shown below:
File name: shield1.txt
g "powexec_name deflection shield$$bind_load_file c:\coh\shield2.txt"
File name: shield2.txt
g "powexec_name insulation shield$$bind_load_file c:\coh\shield1.txt"
Now go into the game and type the following line to initialize the bind: /bind_load_file c:\coh\shield1.txt
What these files will do is make the letter G on your keyboard an insta-shielder, so that every time you press it, it will place a shield on your selected ally. Then the next time you press it, it will place the OTHER shield on the ally. The order doesn't matter, since it loops back anyways. So all you have to do to buff your team really quick is to select a teammate on the list, hit G two times in a row, wait to hear both shields apply, then click on the next teammate. You can also click the blue arrow on the right hand side of the team window to see all your teammates buffs and make sure that both shields took effect. If you wish to, you can of course edit this bind to point to a different letter, and you can put the files in any directory that you wish, as long as you change the directory listed in the bind files to where you put them.

Seriously, about 2 minutes of setup time and you can bubble your whole team in less than 30 seconds using ONE button. Not even a combination of buttons, ONE button.
[/ QUOTE ]I'm going to steal this for my Sonic. Thanks PK.

I love your little preface posts. They remind me of when I used to watch The Wonderful World of Disney.
Thanks for the memories, Jock.

I've been wanting to roll up a Sonic Defender for a while now (ever since their graphics got changed to the awesome orange), and this guide has really cemented my decision. So, I just wanted to say, "thanks" for putting this out. Now I'm really looking forward to buffing and debuffing the snot out of things!
See you on the battlefield!
