We've three choices with the UBER MITO SPAWN OF DOOOOOM.

One: We can clear the ones in the center, ignoring those outside the bubble to one side. This will take some time, and we really, REALLY can't use AoE's or Cones, but it'd mean that PA dropping would be really easy (basically one spot to drop from). It would also take a while, and be very dangerous.

Two: We can wait until they despawn, which may be after monday if it's broken.

Three: We can lodge a support ticket if they're not despawned by the end of the week (fri/sat), because this most definitely is not WAI.

Personally, I think Two is the easiest option, One being the silliest (and possibly most fun) but may also cause mass debt, which'd suck for anyone under 50 that're fussed. Three may work, but to be honest, I don't think support would bring a zone down and then up again for a community raid.

I like the idea of number 1... a bit like the leeroy attempt we all made 1st raid of I7 but hell.. I guess we should gather outside the hive monday and decide then if the spawn hasn't reset...

although I can't see why suggestion 3 wouldn't work, hell it's not like the Hive gets a huge amount of action outside of raid events as there's not a huge amount else to do in there, and since they bring the servers down for maintenance at times anyway they could just reset the servers monday morning for routine maintenance. No-one would be any the wiser, apart from us raiders in the evening, as we'd notice a huge reduction in the number of angry yellow bubbles in the evening.

I like Cynic's thought of Soul Drain, heck all DM scrappers and Kheldians run in Soul Drain, and hit their AoE's and everyone else hit AoE's, Ice Blasters hit Blizzard sounds like a sure fire way of taking down them pesky critters, and all they'd need was a Huge healing blanket(ice blasters would be fine, blizzard keeps goin' after they're defeated).... we can't fail surely

OK.. lets look at history…
we’ve done a fair number of raids since the first raid post I7 when initially things went a bit pete tong, however we’ve been successful since…
…and we haven’t had the situation whereby GM’s have suddenly out of no-where run in and ganked the Hami-Tank Healing team.

so.. the only theory (ruling out an act of the Devs) is that some plank took it into their head that clearly the raid was being tooo successful, and possibly decided that they didn’t want a Hami-O and if they weren’t getting one then neither was anyone else…

this possibly being the case..

a) when people are in Invis, in the Hive on a raid, it’s extremely difficult to spot them at range…
b) if an npc enemy loses it’s target, it ceases to be taunted to them, therefore the tactic would be taunt, and run like hell !!

this taken into account let’s look at the following highly likely scenario:

AT requirement: Tank or Scrapper(possible with any AT.. but these are the most likely)
Powers required : Taunt/Provoke, Fly, Jetpack(GvE power enhanced travel speed) and an Invisibility power
Method:
1 – Person runs towards a GM and activates Invis
2 - Uses the taunt/provoke power… and GM turns around.. ugg HERO.. must die……
3 – Person makes mess in pants
4 – Person flees using fly and the jetpack.
5 - Person plots course straight over the top of the Hami-tank & healers.
6- The GM at this point follows like a lapdog

however… and here is where it gets interesting….
7 – Persons travel speed is greater than that of the GM, and eventually the “Toon” is out of taunt range of the GM
8 – GM loses the taunt to him.. and stops.

Nothing too dire there, however:
9 - At this point, the GM stops.. gathers his minimal stony brain together..
10 - GRR Hero Run.. lost hero…

and low and behold what does the GM see... nothing more than a group of heroes minding their own tank... being a nasty GM..
11 - They don’t belong here, and the monster decides with his low IQ.. I’m hungry.. hmmm GM have Hero breakfast.
12 - Low and behold he heads straight for the Hami-tank-Heal team cause they’re closest..

and the rest as they say is history, and no jelly for the heroes.

Whilst I can see this possibility.. NO.. it was not me.. you would have seen my character.. Evil Bob sat in the middle of the holding group, for the whole of the holding phase, as my team(the PA droppers) can attest to as some of them were targeting through either me or my Singularity..
I’m as peeved as the rest of the serious raid members last night that the raid failed, and am definatley up for the next one.. this kind of behaviour is totally out of order, a lot of peoples time wasted and for no valid reason :S this is just one way I can see that the raid could possibly have been messed up. I don’t profess to be the most strategic person in game, and the above scenario is to be honest not particularly difficult to come up with, I’m sure it wouldn’t take a serious griefer long to come up with a similar method of destroying a lot of people hard effort.

Leasam, if u still want to join us, then we'll help u catch up during the week once u get back online, just that no-one knew what had happened :S stupid broadband suppliers.. I need to move my broadband cause I'm currently with Tiscali and their technical support is about as helpful as a chocolate teapot.. so at somepoint I'll be without broadband for upto 2wks :S eeeeek, lets hope I can use dial-up, but that's not just yet.. maybe in the new year..

weekly raids.... I would Definatley be up for that although weekend days would be possibly out for me due to having my daughters all weekends, friday night till after sunday tea... would be a shame if I had to miss them (the raids that is ) however evenings... I definatley ended up at lvl11, 3 bars I think towards lvl12.. was definatley great fun, although yeah as pointed out above.. were definatley missed people.. but thanks to Orion for creating a stand-in. and as long as we ensure that our weekly progress is posted then missing people could always play catch-up during the week between events.
I am hoping to be able to run TK, however I agree that much End-Reduction slotting will be required atleast until lvl20 when we get SB.. I have a funny feeling tho that we'll be needing end-reds until atleast 21, if not until the SO shop at lvl22..

anyway.. to those that were absent (Sayia, Jakku, and Leasam) as psygon has already said... if u want help catching up then send me a global, and I'd be happy to help out, to everyone... looking forward to next week and lets hope that once we're all lvl12 we can hunt around Boomtown and pwnz the zone.. also if anyone has a char that has access to the Spelunker mission, it might save us having to panic about whether or not we can get the contact (silly contacts wouldn't pass me onto the right people last night )

Similar to Cynics build, this is a work in progress, it doesn't have any slotting on it, this is merely my planned build power wise, the slotting I think I'll be choosing as and when I train the lvls that we gain, which is likely to be when it's slots, that way the new power will be 3 slotted as soon as it's on my tray if needbe or I'll just slot some other power, but it gives me the chance to slot up new powers straight away...
