  1. Macbeth re-enactment featuring Ghost Widow?
  2. Actually the skirt fix was implemented shortly before I made this costume. Thanks for the feedback about the gloves and boots. I'm still iffy on the boots, and I'll try to find a better alternative. "High Heels" worked alright, but might have been a bit too busy.
  3. Front
    Back

I just picked up the Wedding costume pack today and decided to play around with something unique for my sorceress "Arcaness". Having just finished my very first ITF last night, I was eager to put something together for an alternate costume.

This is mostly an experiment in fusing a lacy, elegant sort of design (Wedding costumes) with something ornate (Roman armor), even if Roman breastplates and lace rarely compliment one another, I thought it might be fitting for a traditional arcane type of character. My main concern is the violet in the translucent cape. I'm honestly not sure if that distracts or disrupts the overall color scheme, or seems like a cheap way to toss in a third color in a two-color setup, or is just striking enough to work.

Aesthetically, roman armor, vanguard armor and bridal lace shouldn't work together (and I'm still not sure they do), but this is an experiment to see if the proper color choice can effectively hide the material of some of the items (hide the metal in the armor, for example, or obscure it) while highlighting the patterns and detail.

    I'd love some feedback

(If it matters, Arc's main costume is this.)
  4. ITF broke my 40 "lull" and got me excited about this game.

We had myself (Dark/Ice D), a Fire/Dark Corr, my close friend who was a 49 DM/SR Brute (hit 50 just before Romulus), a Thugs Dark, a Peacebringer, Illusion/Rad Controller, a Blaster (AR/Dev, I think), and um...a thermal corruptor or controller, I can't recall.

This was my first time in Cimerora, much less in ITF, and I had an absolute blast. Staring down dozens of enemies while cleaving our way up a hillside pass was just incredible. The fights were challenging and engaging, especially the very last one.

As I said, this is my first time, so I don't know how others approach ITF. But our Brute tanked the last boss flawlessly. We brought him down through focused fire and heavy -regen, and apparently just ate the Howling Twilight stuns and kept on rolling.

I loved it. I had a blast, and I can't wait to do it again. Two thumbs up.
  5. No posts by BaBs or Castle lately. Not even a mildly humorous jab at the pistol scrapper idea.

Something has gone monstrously wrong. Or this.
  6. Ahh, gotcha. I wasn't around then, so I was curious.
  7. Hey guys,

Is there any relatively simple way to browse the visual effects of various powers? I'm a bit strange and try to build my characters around the aesthetics of power effects, so I was wondering if there was some way I could either download or make a demo showcasing various powers in action?

I think, at some point, there was a website that archived demos for download, but I haven't been able to find it. Any help would be much appreciated.
  8. Great guide, Soulie. I'm a total costume design addict with a bad case of alt-itis, and I spend as much time playing around with new alts and costumes as I do leveling my main (who's only 33, bah). Some of the design tips you've shown here, especially making good use of three or more colors by way of arranging them properly into the patterns, are incredibly useful to someone like me.
