Experimenting with fusion

I just picked up the Wedding costume pack today and decided to play around with something unique for my sorceress "Arcaness". Having just finished my very first ITF last night, I was eager to put something together for an alternate costume.

This is mostly an experiment in fusing a lacy, elegant sort of design (Wedding costumes) with something ornate (Roman armor), even if Roman breastplates and lace rarely compliment one another, I thought it might be fitting for a traditional arcane type of character. My main concern is the violet in the translucent cape. I'm honestly not sure if that distracts or disrupts the overall color scheme, or seems like a cheap way to toss in a third color in a two-color setup, or is just striking enough to work.

Aesthetically, roman armor, vanguard armor and bridal lace shouldn't work together (and I'm still not sure they do), but this is an experiment to see if the proper color choice can effectively hide the material of some of the items (hide the metal in the armor, for example, or obscure it) while highlighting the patterns and detail.

I'd love some feedback

(If it matters, Arc's main costume is this.)

The dress/armor combo actually works pretty well (you can tell it was the same artist at about the same time). The shoulders work better than I would have expected. But in my opinion the wedding shoes are pretty awful, so its not surprising I don't think they work in this case. I'd also probably stick to you main costume cloves as they'll tie the theme together as being the same character and look pretty good with the intricate gold on black of the chest and skirt.

keep one thing in mind, that costume is made with the current skirt bug in place. That pencil skirt you're wearing is actually rotated sideways.

It's quite possible you might be able to keep it that way but you never if a sudden "fix" will twist it back around.

Actually the skirt fix was implemented shortly before I made this costume. Thanks for the feedback about the gloves and boots. I'm still iffy on the boots, and I'll try to find a better alternative. "High Heels" worked alright, but might have been a bit too busy.
