  1. So, I'm in a similar situation as the OP (ironic, considering I gave advice on it), where I'm trying to sort out what Blasters I'd like to roll "soon" (tm).

I've got an AR/Nrg (legacy ranged Hami Build and Tribute toon) and an Ice/Elec/?? (Blapper, was PvP, now PvE, working on making a decent tiered TF Build) at level 50, as well as a Fire/MM and an AR/Fire (Tribute/concept toon) levelling up. Of these, I only really feel I've played with /MM and /Elec as secondaries, since the two AR's are constrained by concept (no melee for /Nrg, and an odd set of rules for the /Fire) and have missed some of the key/better powers in the builds.

So, now, onto the OTHER restrictions I've got...(such a jerk, asking for help, and then all these rules):

I dislike repeating powersets within an AT, so no Ice/, Fire/ or AR/ as Primary.
I wind up in melee on MOST of my toons by default... I'm a Scrapper at heart, so combos shouldn't be only viable at Range.
Gimp doesn't bother me, entertainment is what counts.

I've sold myself on a Dark/Nrg, after realizing that it'd be every thing my AR/Nrg is, and more. Just need to match up Primaries for the other 4, /Dark, /Dev, /Fire, and /Ice.

    Thoughts?
  2. Try dropping a build from Mids... or at least an idea of what you're looking for. While reactions may seem rude, demanding builds is at least equally so.

And yeah, it helps if you've got stuff formatted properly (e.g. How I fixed your title in my response.).

Sorry for not going into depth further. I'm not sure if it would or not, however, I don't ever see the point for slotting the IO, since at 20% chance for firing, you've got a 20% chance for 35 End vs 1 target, 36% chance for 60 End vs 2 targets, 48% chance for 85 End vs 3 targets, with nothing but the Proc in there. Or with 1 EndMod SO, you'll get 33 End off 1, 67 End off 2, and 100 End off 3, 100% of the time.

Basically, it is a waste of a slot, and would be better served by dropping a common EndMod Enhancement into it, instead of the Proc.

And both changes are nominally justifiable as a way to work around the fact that tankers have neither higher regeneration modifiers nor higher health buff modifiers. That's fine when regeneration and health buffs are not central to the powerset's performance, but the special case arises with Regen when nearly all of the set's performance is tied up in effects that tankers do not scale.
    Shouldn't that be 240 seconds? (~123 seconds with 3 SO's Rech)

Also, what is the likelyhood that some/all of these alterations would back-flow to AT's that already have the set? Would it break Self-Empathy on Scrappers if DP was perma-able with SO's (would definitely turn it intonothing more than a bigger Recon for Stalkers, since their HP cap is 133% of base, so the +HP is wasted even more)?
  7. Exalted thread here.

And owing to the disparate times that we are all seeming to have to play, I did state that the global would be for co-ordination. There are the two weekly meet-ups, but if you need to play catch-up/just need to stalk, feel free to do elsewhere (Yay for SSKing?). This ain't a regimented thingy, especially since I kinda stole it from Zeh_Masteh's idea.

Nope, Titan Weapons is a Two-Handed Weapon set, so it'll join the ranks of Katana, Claws, Spines, and Dull Blades as incompatible with Shield.
  9. Well, you're right. It's one of the few, the proud, the hidden.

    The Stalkers of Stalkerlicious!!

Yeah, we don't take ourselves seriously either.

However, what we do take is mobs. We break spines, electrocute, impale, rip, tear, and otherwise sneakify our way through the wilds of Praetoria and beyond.

Do you have what it takes to join our unseen ranks? Of course! Simply head down to your local Record store, from 9-5, and roll a brand new* Stalker! Then join** yet ANOTHER global channel, "Stalkerlicious", and have a blast with controlled criticals! Currently meeting on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday nights, it's all Stalker teams, all the time!***

*In an effort to increase Stalker awareness and diversity, please roll a Stalker Pri/Sec combination that is not already on the list.
We started in Praetoria, and will be going to a neutral alignment once we leave the embrace of Cole, so that teams can run both Red and Blue content. Transfers/exemplars are welcome (especially if your SO will leave/hurt/sacrifice you if you roll yet ANOTHER alt), but group is only currently about 10, and primary focus will be on a natural level range as we progress to 50.

**We realize there is a surplus of globals on Exalted, and many of us are not native Exalted players, so this is how we can co-ordinate. I'll be monitoring Help/Arena, worst case, if you are looking to link up and choose not to add the global.

***Meetup times are still firming up, since this was forum organized, and we all apparently play at 257**** different playtimes. The intent is to have all Stalker teams, getting through as much content as possible. Other AT's may be brought onto teams, as needed, but are a Succubi's Confusion or a Warburg team drop away from an AS. We are Stalkers, after all. ^_^

****An arbitrarily large number, not scientifically accurate.

I believe we're still scheduled to meet up tomorrow (Wednesday) at 6:00pm PST/9:00pm EST for about an hour. Join the Stalkerlicious channel to find everyone easily. See you all there!
Agreed, I think that'll work... and looks like we may want to advertise to the server as a whole? We'll just have a registry of who is what... there's 88 different stalker combos, so doubt we'll run out. I'll parse through, and then start a thread on Exalted.

    Also, roster:

Truth. I have an AR/Nrg Tribute character who fights completely from ranged, exploiting Boost Range, Centriole Enhancements and the 257* Cones Assault Rifle gets. The Melee Tier 1 you get locked into is used only to convince mobs they want to be further away when they get too close.

Dark/ or Sonic/ would also work well with a ranged /Nrg Blaster.

(Boost Range + Cones is tasty because the increase in range multiplies the area covered by the cone, e.g. doubling the range will quadruple the area covered.)

    Biggest AS hit

From Hide it does 389.28 damage base at level 50 (139.03 + 250.25). However, if done after a Placate there's a slim chance due to a glitch that you'll get another normal crit added on. i.e. another 139.03. So that's 528.31.

At the damage cap (500%) that's 2,641.55. But this assumes it's you vs. an even con level 50 with no damage resistance. How boring is that? The damage resistance debuff limit is -300%, meaning if you could debuff him that far he'd take 4x damage. So that's 10,566.2.

Course, we could always hit up Atlas park with our level 50 Stalker (and accompanying league of buffers/debuffers) and go assassinate some hapless level 1. With a 49 level difference, the purple patch says we do 6x damage. But you're an Incarnate? Okay 50 level difference. 6.1x damage. You hit that guy for 63,397.2 damage.

    Sixty-three thousand.

Unless there's some other absolute limit on damage, anyway.

You KNOW you want to see this... right?
I want a screenshot of this. I will frame it, and cuddle it, and call it Bob.

/Self-Empathy (/Regen) is the only one I know of that's not represented. Since we've expanded to/beyond 8, if that's really non-palatable to you, I see no issue with duplicating.
  14. Fire/Icy - PB+Flashfire+Fire Cages, Chilling Embrace+Hot Feet, Imps+Ice Attacks. It's tasty. And I don't even have mine IO'd/Perma-Dom yet.

I'm trying to stay away from SS or Electric. I'm trying to make a theme of an ancient Warlord/War marshal but I can't think of anything. Thank you for taking the time to look at the post. Any help is much appreciated!
Massive single target leads towards Dark Melee, as others have mentioned. And DM goes well with ANY secondary, given the amount of utility within it. I'd only suggest with the Warlord concept to take Maneuvers, Tactics, and Vengeance if possible, since Leadership is a hallmark of Warlords (and Assault ain't that useful on a Brute, it gets drowned out).

This fear is why I have not bought any yet.

    Lisa-Curious
It keeps the Enhancement window about the same size horizontally, but makes it a little taller, because it puts each tray onto a tab, both for the game UI and the slotting window.

I've found it insane, since I can buy IO's/recipes en masse, and store them on the toon while waiting for that last bubble for 3 more slots. Respecs to strip/alter toons get me nearly 1/3 of the IO's if I want to save them (30 out of 98 slots at 50, not counting Prestige Sprints or the joys of Kheldians). And, when going through AV heavy TFs (RSF/STF, et alia) my tray never gets full... so while not much, it's a little bit more cash there too.

Was the best purchase I made off the market. Looking at the Salvage and Recipe increases as well, but think I'll be smart for now and wait for a larger cache of points/for them to go on sale.

  20. Sounds like Sundays are the preferred time... people seem a little more busy during the week. With the global channel up, we can try to co-ordinate mid-week for others, if play there is needed/wanted.

To all interested, there was a rough, never formalized goal of all the Secondaries, and it was also the intent to roll new ones. So while you wouldn't be turned away if you transferred to Exalted and brought a pimped out toon, the majority of us will be trying new and untested Stalkers. (I know I'm playing a concept, because dear gods would I no way ever play a resist-based Stalker in normal, team game play.

Actually, irritating thing, it shows up on every character, regardless of you doing the arc, and the recipe doesn't go away, even after you've finished the arc.
  22. TW/Invuln - You'll stand there, laughing, as all the puny beings swing and are deflected away from your hide.

Gargoyles do not heal (Regeneration from RttC), they ignore the blows in the first place (Defensive, since not even secondary effects hit). I'd also suggest you look to /SR or /EA, two other sets that have you ignore the blows rather than regrow back from them.

I will second ditching /FA and /Self-Empathy for their clickyness. Your reliance on the healing abilities within would remain until you achieved some measure of soft-capped defenses.
  23. Weekends are going to be hell over the next two months for me, but I will try to make the 1300 EST Sundays if I can. Was helping my sister-in-law move yesterday, so missed all this.

Also, what do people think of Wednesday nights vice weekends? Was thinking 2100/2200 EST, play for about an hour or so until we get outta Praetoria, and then advocating going Grey and bouncing between both Red and Blue TF's to 50, playing one a night.
  24. I'm in, on something, as usual. It'll pro'ly die. A lot.
