Also, I need people's opinion. From July 16-26 I'm taking a break from work, and as I'll be home 90% of that time, I was wondering, that, if I get a new dog, I should get him/her right around then or just before then, so I can spend as much time as needed right up front to welcome/help the dog adjust to his/her new home, family, etc?

I am, and of course, I'm watching The Hangover tonight, and theres two scenes with a lovely golden Lab, which is the kind of dog my mom's thinking of getting. So, meh, I see any dog now, I'm gonna be going Awww and :::mental weep:::

Any more thoughts, pet stories, funny or sad? I don't want this thread to die, not just yet.

It would be nice if they bumped up that % by another 5 or so. 10% for minions, 15 for LTs/Bosses. I just say that because if my frelling Stalker can have almost a 1 in 4 or even 1 in 3 chance of critting on ANY normal attack because some of the team is near me, its pretty awesome. If the "crit hit" is the Scrapper inherent, I wouldnt mind seeing it tweaked just a bit more. I love scrappers, dont get me wrong, but a Brute on a roll feels a bit more damaging than a Scrapper on a roll, but thats me.

We wouldn't be getting a puppy. As compared to 1999, when 4 people lived in my house, I was working only 3-4 days a week, my brother was still in school/home,etc, etc. Fast foward a decade, i work 4-6 days a week, my brother works and often isnt home, and my sister doesnt live there. So, the primary care and affection would be given by my mom, and then me.

Well, in another post note, as weird as it is, as I was cutting my lawn(it finally stopped raining after X amount of days), well, I came across the last couple "deposits" she'd made. Never gonna be having to look around the yard first, at least, unless we get another dog. Went to get lunch today, someone in the parking lot was in their SUV with a golden retriever named Blue, talked to them a min, and got to pet the dog, who proceeded to get all my face with doggy affection, which, naturally, 10 seconds after I walked away left me with very blurry vision. I'm really torn about getting another dog or not, I think I will though, cause my heart will stay shattered if I don't think there's some wonderful ball of fur happy to see me every time I walk through that door waiting for me.

Meanwhile my cat's still running around at 16, crying for water every 5 minutes, and obviously not noticing/caring that her big black counterpart is now missing.

Damn, now we're both in the club. Membership in this club sucks. Well, don't read that Rainbow Bridge poem any time soon. You won't be able to see your computer screen AT ALL by the time you finish.

I want to do that, but part of me doesnt, like it would be a insult to her. Near 10 years we had her, and a week or whatever after her death I just get a new dog? That seems demeaning. While I love the idea of coming home and seeing my dog at the top of the stairs happy that I'm there, I want my old dog more than I want a new one.

Been almost 2 days, I woke up, walked around, and house just feels, well, a hell of a lot more empty and alone.

I really know she's gone when I went to get some potato chips, picked up the bag, and there was no sign of her running in to get one, or get any on the floor.

I have a cat. Her name's Casey, shes' 16, we got her back in 1993, a month after my father died of cancer. So, to be depressing, I havent had a father for half my life, and I had my dog for 1/3rd my life. And BTW, my cat's still a nut, running all over the place.

Which of these causes moar chaos and mayhem? I love my Earth/Storm, debuffs ahoy, I make Nemesis my b---hes with all the -res and -def.

Well, trust me, you don't wanna hear how many times cancer has hit my family and friends since the early 90's on. Lets just say the count has gone beyond my fingers, and I'm gonna run out of toes to count on next.

We found out over Memorial Day weekend that she had a tumor by her heart, they drained off excess fluid, and just said to have her be less active. In that near month since, she'd been pretty ok. And then, well, when you get a phone call at work with your sister in tears....you pretty much wanna shove the customers out of the way, flip off the d-bags, and run home, and I sorta did that. Of course, if my sister hadn't been home, me or my mom wouldnt have come home for another several hours, and well, would have found her dead. Which of course would have shattered my heart even more.

My dog, Liberty, passed away today, on my birthday of all days. She'd often sit in the room where I played online, watch TV, play console games, etc, either with head on my leg, or just hoping I'd drop her some potato chips. She was 2 weeks short of being 10 years old, her birthday being July 4, 1999, hence her name. If you have pets, right now, go give them a hug, a pet, a treat/cookie, whatever, and love that you have them now, because the next time you drop some potato chips, and no one comes running in to munch them off the floor, your heart, like mine, will feel that much more broken.

I dont have much experience with Inv, not past low teens anyway, plenty with EM, so I wonder how this works as a tanker. Give that my one AOE kinda sucks, should I just make him a Single-Target type guy? Keep em whacking on him and just energy punch one perp at a time?

It tends to be in June or July, and in July, around middle of the month. Since they don't have the calendar images for anything past April this year, anyone know?

Should I slot for +regen, or +Def?

Well, I like /Fire too, and basically, when it comes to slotting chars now, I aim for a chunk of +acc from IO set bonuses, and then focus more heavily on end reduction. if I have say 30-40% global acc bonus, I dont have to go so nuts in +acc in each power. Also, I've realized I've made many WP chars, even though making too many WP chars is like dividing by zero-doesnt work.

Thoughts, discussions?

Working on 2 dom's at the moment, 1 is a Plant/Thorn, the other a Grav/Psi. Plant/Thorn I think I've got covered, Grav/Psi, not as much. I have a few KB powers in that combo that I can load with Kinetic Crash for cheap +rech, or I can slot them more normally, and load in kb set damage procs, but not get as much +rech, etc, etc. So, should +rech always be the Holy Grail of doms, but since I15 is apparently going to change base Dom damage, hmm, any thoughts?
