I was watching the steam-punk video (Which I am super excited for!!) and I one thing
really grabbed my attention, which did leave me a bit surprised. I loved the video but there
was a split second where a character jumped and I heard that normal female jump voice.
It really didn't sound how I imagined, which is pretty strange given that I should have
expected it, but it still really surprised me. I started to think about something just then...
CoX should have a contest were people record themselves for new sets of voices!
I really didn't want to be 'boring' by being another post that requests new voices, but it
would be cool if people could make submissions and stuff. Maybe even list the sound files
that CoX is willing to make changeable and let people record them and submit.
I know there might be way to many issues for them to do this.. but it might be fun! ^^ -

Quote:Oh! I can access it. I'm trying to get the ninja pack and once you try to buy anything, itI don't know about you guys, but I can access the online store just fine and there is no Mutant booster pack
says 'The story is encountering a problem, please try later or tomorrow.' and this has been
up since yesterday morning.
Yeah, trying to get the ninja pack, once I am about to buy it it says:
"We're sorry, but we are unable to accept your order at this time. Please try again later or tomorrow. If you continue to have problems, you may wish to visit one of our retail partners." -
Still down a day later. @@
I want to give you guys moneys! hehe -
Is anyone having a problem buying any packs?
I want to pick one up but it's been down for hours now! =( -
I know this is no help at all....
But one of the reasons I love CoH is just how awesome things look in game! ^^
Just keep up the good work!
Oh! One thing though... (Not sure if this is possible)
To thinks that can be kicked around.. is there a way to emulate weight? All the
object (even cars) are kicked around like they are inflatable. It's really funny but
it would be awesome if weight can be added to that.. If not then I so understand. -
In Statesmen's picture above here... are his tights wrapped around his ears?!!??!

Ya did a good job David.
It might not be for me, but it adds a type of character missing from CoX!
I can wait for my fox-tails and cute stuff till then. -
Quote:... Lizardy!! Haha =P Not bad!In the lead-up to live, we'll definitely be talking more about the creation of the Mutant Pack. But basically, mutation's all about biological change, and we wanted to give players two distinct flavors of that and to make the parts as broadly usable as possible.
Bioluminescent represents the change-from-within concept of posthumanity: with these parts, your hero or villain is clearly changing at a genetic level and doing so in style--with tintable glows that really pop in dark environments.
Organic Armor represents change-from-without. With these parts, you can acheive a carapace/exoskeleton look, as if your character is growing a new skin or shell or perhaps being taken over by a symbiotic entity. And for added visual punch, you get the tintable glows here too.
As a set, the Mutant pack gives you the abilty to make new heroes or villains to fit a fairly wide range of aestheic types: alien-corrupted, hell-spawn, genetic freak--all of that's doable with this set. And with 2 tails, wings, and sword, there's a cherry on top.
Here're some shots of the tails that you'll be getting in the next build, by the way:
Bioluminescent tail
Organic Armor tail
A monster-themed pack is something we can look into after Going Rogue, but that's a different set.
Until then, enjoy all the new toys!

Quote:Thanks for not bashing me! ^^That's actually a pretty good point, along with the point about them being angular. All of our newer sets seem to have this almost cubist feel to them, with the strong, rigid shapes and serious look. I honestly wish we'd get something with smoother curves and, yes, even something more cute and cuddly at some point.
In fact, it seems people always expect something serious and monstrous when they hear the term "mutant" where it could just as well have been something soft, cuddly and pretty cute. I mean, why not?
Yeah! I'm not angry or pissed about the mutant pack, just disappointed. It's like playing
bingo and hoping the numbers I need come up.. and they didn't. I'm not mad at the
number caller or anything. The Pack looks nice!..
But every pack has been pretty hardcore, or just very angular like you said. There hasn't
been anything I'd consider cute, or just more attractive and feminine. (Though love the
magical outfits when they came out!) Stuff like fox-tails, paws, or even something exotic
mutant looks that are non-animal, but that aren't also massive shards coming out your body
or rips in the skin. @@
I don't want to dress up as a furry, but it would be cool to have beast paws, or maybe
claw weapons that are nails or actual 'claws'. Again,.. not mad or angry, just hoping
and didn't get it. I'm hoping for next time. ^^ -
Quote:It's fine.Hmmm...I'd have to disagree. Mutant~mutation, so to have something that is 'mutant' related, it has to be related to living tissue that has been subject to a sort of aberration. Living, altered stuff does not =bestial. The bioluminescent looks like somebody who's become partly aquatic, but still retains human characteristics. This is easily mutant-related. The organic armor is supposed to look like armor the character has grown, I assume, the trick is it looks pretty sharp/spiky/spindly for living tissue. This is where people are taking offence, methinks. (Besides the "But I wanted 'x!' That's not 'x!'")
I'm not putting down the pack at all. It looks cool but not what I was hoping for. I'm
sure a lot will love it, but it's not for me. =(
*Smiles and crosses-fingers hoping better for next time.* -
Quote:Well if you're going by that standard.. they could release almost anything not tech, andAll of whom you can make very reasonable copies of 9depending on which incarnation of Beast you're talking about) in the game right now. You don't need any new costume pieces to to them.
You do need them for many full anthropomorphic concepts, but again, that is not the same as a "mutant".
call it a mutant pack. I think it is a reasonable statement that many were expecting more
animal type parts in the mutant pack. Also, what if I want to have a more anthropomorphic
character? That could classify as a mutant just as much as anything, and I think that's
what a lot of people were expecting,.. not this. @@
I might be wrong though. Maybe this was what everyone expected for all I know.
I was just wanting more cute and cool attributes to add, not look like a demoness.
I'm done. -
I normally don't post on the forums, but I know I'm kinda disappointed.
I was expecting something like X-men and a mix of animal type parts. Everything
here looks just demonic or supernatural. It's funny growl is an emote given with
the look of the armor.
I can tell you guys had a fight or debate over there cause it seems like a amalgamation
of just odd stuff that ended up a demonic pack.
I was dying for fox tails, animal parts, and more x-men looking traits.. but this is
more harder edge looking like a demon pack to me.
I also thing that a lot of people wanted more 'cute' pieces too! ^^ Which this isn't. =(
(Or I wanted a few cute pieces at least.)
And enough with the furry stuff. @@ There's Tigra, Sabertooth, Beast, and even
characters like Wolverine have animal traits that are subtle. There will always be people
that abuse anything released no matter what.
I'm really disappointed, I hear David saying tails will be added, but I have a feeling they're
going to look just over the top like the rest of the pack.
