I have a RL friend who just bought the game and will join us probably tonightWe seem to be doing well so far.
Thanks again Shin for tanking yesterdayI don't think the group would have survive that long without you

yes you can download the client if you have an Aion account
the game client is ....10gb IIRC
patchs are around 80mb -
Kahlan, you have to come with us on Israphel if you ever decide to try Asmodean
( both "race" are exactly the same... only a handful of skills are different)

Quote:Also would like to reiterate that buffers should utilize the buff bar. Flashing icons letting you know your buffs are wearing off your team members is priceless. It also lets you see incoming damage on your teammates. If suddenly that crazy blaster has a bunch of incoming damage showing up it gives you a headsup that you might wanna throw a heal in their direction. I can assure you that buff bar usage seperates the great healers from the mediocre healers.
I have to agree with this but not only for healers or buffer but everyone. I personally keep my buff bar open on any toon I play. of course on my buffers it's to tell me when to buff but on a melee toon it can tell you to stop bashing that insignificant minion and look at that blaster who's health is going down.... maybe you don't have all the aggro you thought you hadso time for some taunt or a quick jab in the face of that enemy killing your friend ( or not so friend but current partner in crime) ... Does that make me better than all of you... hell no (and people in RDLV can attest..) i'm normally the first to die, but I do try to keep everyone else alive while I take the hit lol

nah, I needed to take a forced break cause when I moved in my house the internet wasn't passed yet. but they were able to connect it earlier than they had told me at first. I was suppose to wait at least 2 months but it only took them 3 weeks so i'm already back
-
well if you think about it.. the arrogant self-centric kind are the elyos.. and those thinking about the greater good of their kind are the Asmodianjust because one looks angelish while the other looks more devielish doesn't mean their nature follows
-
lol DF they said the service is not be available yet.. but soon
As per the note in the new: NOTE: You will need to follow these steps for each new character you create in order for it to receive the items. You will not be able to do this right now, but the feature will be enabled shortly. -
There were rumors of that but I never saw any official post about it.
Kinda makes me wonder what is stopping them. Seeing how they can gave us almost everything we asked them even the "Impossible" ..... color customization..... I guess something technical with the server must be stopping them cause on the website side it's just a database call function with relevant image displaying... -
damn have you guys seen the new website?
If you log in the forum and click your login name you have access to all your character info ( gears, level, money, abys point, you can even read un-read mail.. etc)
CoX really need something like this...
Edit: you can access it from the main page also by clicking on "Live Status"

they already said the lock was only for the preselection but that they would be open for the headstart
-
by that list DF... he should still be able to create asmodian on Israphel.
It took me an hour before I could do it myself so keep trying and you just might be able to -
damn.. can't create asmodian on Israphel
gonna keep trying
Edit: finally got my names : Joahuao ( warrior) and Abigail (assassin) -
i'll be there
anyone already know what they plan to make?
I'm thinking of doing a gladiator or Assassin -
seems reactivating my account was a good start....
Seems I16 came out at the same time I got the internet at home.. coincidence??? I think not... -
I was wrong about the dates.. the open beta ends on the 13
The download is 9gb so better start it now if you want to play this weekend -
Well I never liked WoW yet I seem to enjoy Aion.
It does have the same control scheme and it is a sword and sorcery but there is something different about Aion.
1- the wings are nice, they can help you glide around the map and get to certain point at a way faster rate than running
2- the storyline is great. when I tried WoW, I didn't know there was a story.. it was never cleared what I was doing or why. While in Aion, you know from the start (lvl 9) why your fighting and why you are making a part of the story
3- the graphic... I can't put enough emphasis on that they are just GREAT!!!!
4- the combat engine is fun, the skills that unlock on certain action is a nice feature. It gets time to get use to it coming from CoH but it's not hard to get.
5- the PvP is fun ( and this is coming from someone who doesn't really like PvP in CoH...)
6- the PvPvE zones are insane. having to watch out for the Balaur and the enemy faction makes it fun and challenging. ( you don't have to PvP and can go just for the PvE content but I haven't tried that yet lol)
now there are things that were annoying me: WoW players is a big part of it ( they aren't there to help or play but be the best and bash everyone else...)
the camera can be annoying at times but I got used to it ( now coming back to CoH was hard after) although this should be fixed in the 1.5 patch they released that I didn't try.
Spawn point camping... I guess I'm just spoiled by CoH and the full instance gameplay...
But the best way to know is to try it, they currently have an open beta runing until the 15 so you can get a key and download the game and try for yourself( fileplanet is giiving away keys lol)
-
I tried the closed beta and got to lvl 20 and your right, in the first few level you don't need to team.. AT ALL
but once you get your wings and start in the real world, then you see that teaming is good and at lvl 14 you start getting mission where you don't have a choice and need to team to complete it.
Also around lvl 20, when you start getting into PVP the game totally change. As much as I don't like PvP in CoH.. I'm intrigued by the one in Aion and do plan on trying it more... -
Get it be Steam
I don't like Steam normaly but I have to admit the game delivery system is pretty neat.
-
I'm still here... well at least on the board since I still have no internet access at home and for only a short while since my account expires next Monday...
One thing is for sure... whenever i'll come back (prays to god it won't be too long) it will definately be on Champion -
LOL good then I guess you replaced me
Although, you should still put the "official" bubbler on follow if it's not you, but anyway -
Actually you should put the bubbler on follow
not the targeter cause then when he tries to move to get another target you're in his way... and if 10 or so people to this well it get's hard for him to move. In any case the Bubbler "should" follow the targeter from close enough that you won't see a difference BUT he "should" always think about leaving space to the targeter.... (I know use to).

Cobalt Azurean can invite you in.

I can attest that 32min for Kahlan is kinda slow... I did a couple under 30min with him (could have been faster if I'd stop dying lol)
I agree that the MITF is not gonna be too much of a problem for some teams, but then again not everyone can do it consistently under 40min either. Some still are not able to finish the ITF or takes hours to do so.
Now I wonder if there is an accolade in the horizon for people who have all the Master of * badge.... Something useful like a +10% rech or +5% def or resist... anything that could actually encourage people for running them and get a reward for it.
