We were in the middle of the new Posi. It was a "Vadar NOOOOOO!" moment!

Well you're Smoke Signal, dammit. Instead of crying like a girl, find a way to fix it!

Happy Holidays! I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday and good luck in the new year!

Quote:??? For clarification, the description above was what I did for the first get-together, and was provided to help you self-procure whenever the occasion calls for it. I haven't shipped anything, and want to make sure there's no disappointment over a misunderstanding (which is hopefully on my part, being a lunk-head & all.)
As for providing the information, I'm glad to do it, as it would be a shame for folks not be be able to get Fred's if they REALLY want it.
For providing information. I got it. I'm just really a fan of meat. -
Happy Birthday, Kad! I'll give you super hugs when I see you!

Quote:*hugs red*you need to be more persistent.
also, get ready for sticker shock.
technically what you are being told is true.
however, unless things have changed, they do provide boxes for shipping, but you need to make arrangements with one of the 3rd party shipping outfits to do the actual shipping. One of these two groups provides the dry ice, i don't know which, but what matters is one does.
so, if you really want fred's, here's how i recall doing it. When i called, i let them know i wanted to get some fred's shipped to some friends out of state. I was told that they don't ship, but that they can provide boxes for shipping the fred's (i think there's just one size & since shipping is so costly, i ordered as many steaks as would fit in the box to make it worthwhile) & then i would have to make the arrangements for shipping myself. I asked if there was a shipping outfit they could recommend, or had worked with in the past & was given the number to one. I then ordered the steaks for pickup by the named outfit. I then called up the number provided (wish i could provide the name & number but since i wasn't expecting to repeat, i wasn't good about keeping the information.) they laid out the pricing, i agreed to it, paid by credit card & they took care of the rest.
fyi there are three grades for fred's.
i forget what they call them, but i will refer to them as regular, premium, & kobe. I got a kobe fred's for a friend's birthday (it was some milestone, or at least that's what i told myself to justify the expense) & omg!!! If you thought regular fred's was awesome... Kobe fred's...
*drools*
*shakes self out of trance*
*cleans self up*
that said, it's also pretty darn pricey & definitely something to be saved for very special occasions. -
I'm so sorry, Joe.
We actually just found lumps on the Rotty's neck area. I'm waiting to hear from the vet.Losing a furry friend is awful.

I was back for the weekend, too. And gone for much the same reasons. Although, I ended up reactivating after the weekend. Couldn't help myself!
-
I didn't get much as I had to work most of the weekend. I got 4 levels on my storm/sonic defender. She's almost 50. I also started a new fire/elec scrapper and got to level 8 or so.

I can update so go ahead and look at the first posts for updates.
Please still contact me for confirmation about attendance so that I can make sure I have enough accommodations for the group. So far we're having a slightly larger turn out than last year. It's very exciting!
I'll update the first post.
Thanks Fanny for relaying! I appreciate it. -

Hello Justice! Yes, we're doing it again! We're planning another Justice Server Thanksgiving Special. And everyone is invited!
When
Sunday, November 15th, 2009. We dine at 6pm at Smoke and Ele's house in New Stanton, PA. That's about an hour outside of Pittsburgh.
Specifics
Those coming from a distance and needing a place to stay are welcome to stay with us. I am equipped to accommodate about 5 or so people. If you would rather stay in a hotel I live not more than a mile from half a dozen hotels. I am happy to give you hotel information. Also, Fanny is graciously opening her home for those needing a place to stay as well. She can house about 2 people having a double bed and a couch.
You are not expected to bring anything but yourself. However, if you decide to bring food no one will argue!Just please let me know what you intend to bring. We don't need 12 pumpkin pies!
Please let me know of any food allergies, pet allergies (I have three cats as does Fanny) or anything else that's vitally important. Also, most of you already know, I have 3 kids. You've been warned.
If you'd like alcohol feel free to bring your own. I live by a beverage supplier and a liquor store so I'm sure you can find something. Just let it be known that anyone who imbibes won't be allowed to drive and crash into a tree. House rules! If you got a hotel we'll drive you there. If you've planned on driving back, tough!
The date is firm. If we keep changing the date people get confused. If this date doesn't work for you I sincerely apologize. I hope that it works better for the next event.
Please RSVP directly to my email ( ginn.johnson@gmail.com ) since I do not check the forums that often but I DO check my email -at least- twice a day. Let me know if you're coming, if someone's coming with you, if you're staying or need a place, and if you're bringing something.
Fanny has created a Facebook page so that those people on Facebook can communicate about the event. The page is, however, open for anyone to view. It has information such as hotels, guest list, menu and such. There is also a Justice Thanksgiving Fund that is entirely optional but greatly appreciated. You can find the Facebook page here: Official Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=154693628757.
Or course, if you'd rather just email for all of that information I'll be happy to reply in that fashion as well.
I look forward to seeing you all! -
