As for me?

I'm thankful for friends on Protector being willing to share some deep and personal burdens with me, so that I would not be crushed under them. This is truly a community, not a game.

Today is a good day!

I got the card from Kid and Nomme, 2 cheques, and a book that Dad said he'd be sending me that should be useful in my field. Now the only question is whose cards are going to show up next!

My cards are finally out in the mail. Had to wait until I got paid, because they missed a cheque last week, so I ended up getting both this week. Either way, they should be arriving sometime next week.

On another note: Some people got a unique personal touch, (poetry I've written) if you didn't, don't worry, it's only because I didn't have anything written that I felt suited you. I've had a very limited creative output this year due to reasons beyond my control, but I hope that next year, everyone will get a custom poem.

Yeesh.

3 cards left to write out and send, and my hands getting numb. Next Year, I'm not doing them all at once!

I got the first card today. From Stalemate and Cassiopea. I rather like the way you did it. I'll have to get all the rest out as soon as possible, but as I have a lot of other responsibilities to take care of, some may end up being late..

Unfortunatly, I have to wait until I get paid before sending out all the other cards. On the plus side, I get a 25% raise this week! (If I keep getting raises like that percentage, I'll be very happy.)

Well, looks like I need to go to the Post Office for some more stamps. Turns out the 'Permanent' stamps are really only suitable to be used within Canada, so I have no idea when the cards headed out of country are going to make it into the mail. Fortunately, if you are part of the Canadian Contingent, they're going in the mail later this week.

I normally just go with a toonie or two in my hand.

I have to admit the Hot Chocolate Supreme is amazing. Hot Chocolate with Chocolate Syrup added in, with a whipped cream and chocolate syrup topping...

Well, I guess I need to get started soon then....

In my church, we have a retired Master Corporal of the Canadian Forces. He showed up in his dress uniform at our last service. He's the first veteran that I've had a chance to really get to know personally, and if there's one thing I've learned from him, it's that they need the support of people back home, and also that they need something to be hoping about, something that keeps them going.

They are inspirations to us, even beyond what services they have rendered their country. When you sign up, you are writing a cheque for an amount 'up to and including your life'.

Sure, why not. I'm in this year.

Might I suggest we respond with a subtle clone army?
