    I like that Idea aswell,

Also due to your recent style change on the 'too hawt for ya'll feral kitty' I'd like to hear your thoughts on styalistic vs realistic.
  3. I've been thinking of poking ya for a couple of days to check if you were still kicking :P good to hear all is well, best of luck with the packing, I hate sorting and packing if someone asked me to do it with my belongings existing condition I'd most likely just throw it all out :P
  4. I had the good sense to close the window when I saw the title.

    My eyes were spared
  5. if it wasn't for all of the cblatant plaguerism's of other artist's works I would almost feel sorry for liefeld. It's really not he's fault he's so crappy, he should never have worked in comics in the first place with he's level of anatomical knowledge.
  6. heh there seem to be a greater population of smartarses around this forum lately.

    Im likeing the shift

edit: although I do note get the humor in the o.p >.>
  7. I will have to study them very closely thansk for the list Bobby
  8. There is a thought neither of you have thought of. 2 words, and it rhymes with smass smorgies
  9. So... just so I am clear, everyone who post's referances will definetly recieve an art collaboration within 24 hours of posting info in this thread Im keeeeding

Sounds like a cool Idea gray I will be interested in seeing what comes of it.

again liefeld is being mentioned in the same sentance as imo some quality artist's. You may not like Turner or campbell's style, but for the love of god. No one deserves comparison to liefeld. infact, Next person I see mention liefeld is getting there main drawn being ***** by some manner of marsupial

heh thanks man! its good to have free time again, I've started work on a few things on my to do list. including coloring certain pictures...

Yeah sticking to 5 minutes was tough, but I just started when the clock read...something... and finished 5 minutes after I just chucked a bucket of water on my desire to finish it, I'd have thrown it away if it was supposed to be finished picture :P
Dunno if that is going to happen If I actually like what I am doing though :P

either way, Will be buying some propr paper soon and getting into the manual drawing more seriously, so this thread should get some of my love for a little while.

I think its in the coloring and the thick black lines. gives it a somber feel.
  13. They are both great pics, rich in detail, both artists really did an epic job and stood up to the plate.

In the end, I am going to have to vote shia also, the 3 point perspective the detail and though I might be mistaken, it looks like the cities in the background are in a similar shape to the iconic city of heroes logo itself http://reilly2040.co.uk/blog/wp-cont...4/coh_logo.jpg whether intentional or not I think its a nice touch really caps it off.

  14. This is a commission I just finished.

  15. A steel strongman for the carnival! followed the 5 minute rule to the second as you can see.

if we are still picking subjects, I pick ... 'soon to be generic'd'
  16. I like adum hughes, michael turner and ed benes. Jim lee is great at drawing everything, but I dont think he hits the same stride as the afformentioned three.

I think hughes in the comicbook world is the title holder.

Actually, he did a little for you in a couple areas, so you could also have followed his lines.
Heh I can normally hatch alright, but It has been awhile since I've drawn traditionally, I really need to practise.

You COULD go waaay old school and use a # 1 Windsor & Newton Sable brush, a line art brush if they even make those still... there's more but that should do ya to start. Gees this feels like I'm teaching art again...
I've been thinking of trying out brush inking, then I think I have enough trouble with pens I will look into trying it though. I have a brush pen I use for large area's (came in handy on cloak and dagger)

hehe you feel like a teacher, I feel like a student for a change, I've learned more from you in the last week then I learned during an entire year in my design course
  18. thanks for yet another ensightful critique bobby, I'm going to have to find something new to ink so I can work on the things you've mentioned. and practise my hatching, (I went through 3 comic boards before I decided to skip the hatching and go for the marker look instead ) I will look at using the equipment you mentioned aswell.

    thanks again! ...er... again!

Heh thats a differant style alright,

Nice pic, nice body language and expression. It really gets the message across and if it didnt, the middle claw drives it home
  20. thanks Ed! yeah I saw it in your gallery a while ago, I like the color balance

another of randy greens pencil's I love this picture of pheonix but again I couldnt find a descent set of lines to color, so I tried my hand at inking again. there was a lot of tonality in this one and my hatching skills are quite bellow par so I ended up chucking some marker shading down, its all just indicative for the coloring though.

I think its an improvement on the last one, much more line variation, but what do you think?
