    As a vetran of almost 3 yrs now, exclusively playing COH and only PVE, I was really hoping for much more from this latest installment.
    So villians didnt get anything but, Epics lol. Atleast thats something if I was a villian I would be happy.
    I'll bet they spent 50-75% of the time for this issue on the villian epics. Sure seems like it to me.

    As far as I can tell the heroes may have gotten more powersets but to me they got nothing of value this issue.
    Why? Because none of the new hero powersets interest me in the least. Tankers- No electric thats what Tankers want.
    Scrapper- Fire. LOL thats what fire tanker is a scrapper. Another useless powerset. The other AT's---- nothing good offered not worth discussing.

    Villians dont care dont play them , PVP dont care either.

    When is next installment, hope it come before Champions Online.

    This is wrong direction for powerset prolification.
    They would be better served in making a new generic powerset for each AT that was a clone of one of the current powersets except you would be able to costomize the colors .
    That way you could have orange or green power blasts, radiation sheild (fire tanker), negative energy (fire troller) or radiation armor(dark armor) for scrapper.

    Id rather have a nerfed version of a powerset I liked than a port of one that I had no desire for. To me it seems useless to port over this stuff since it seems those responding to the announcement seem to be underwhelmed by the new options.
  3. I am not against new powersets but give us something new soon. Sharing some of the old powersets would make it faster to add new powersets, something I favor. Some of the new powersets suggested might be good additions. My problem with the new powersets is that they are quite vague on what their ideas are. What are these defenses? Resist or Def, what kinds of powers are they thinking of for these sets?

    In general I am just concerned that this process will get scrapped or put on the back burner for some time far in the future. In my opinon that delay would be a grave mistake on their part.

    Its been a long time since COH originally launched and no new powersets in all that time. Tankers are especially hampered by the lack of powersets given to them for primaries. Their primaries are severly limited and if the new tank primaries are not acceptable to those playing tanker (like me)then do not expect to see me and others who been waiting forever for something new for their tanks.
  4. My 2 cents on new powesets. I have 2+ years of devotion to COH, but getting tired of same old powersets. Need some varitey soon B4 burned out.
    We need new powersets now not after 3-6 months. So I would hold off on time consuming development of totally new powersets in favor of tweaking exisiting ones for quicker inclusion as patch.

    My view comes from my love for the tanker AT.
    Unfortunately, tankers have few primary choices and it seems that my superheroes seem to be clones of each other.
    Fire or INV defense and Fire, Energy or SS melee.

    In order to remedy this situation Tankers need more primary powersets. Electric Armor, Dark Armor or Radiation Armor would be good choices for inclusion. Dark Armor could be renamed Energy Armor ( different colored effects and different power names). Radiation Armor (really Firey Armor with a couple of different powers) would be another choice.

    We should share the old powersets among melee and ranged heroes. Let the ranged ATs share more powersets, and let scrappers and tankers share powersets. Once we have dark and rad blasters, fire and SS scrappers and electric and regen tankers, then we can devote the necessary time and resources toward totally new poweresets like sheild melee, growth or others.

    As far as new powersets are concerned I am a bit confused and unable to be sure what the sets are about. Some idea as to special effect for new powers would be helpful. Willpower? Vibration ? Sheilds? energy or material focus? How is street fighting different than martial arts?

    Some new melee powerset ideas could be grouped as a energy weapon set IMHO. For Melee powersets would prefer Radiation Melee or Electric Melee to more weapon based sets.
    I dont use weapon based melee sets other than scrapper spines and claws.

    The boards were down and so I missed the poll but here is my 2cents.

    Since I dont know what these powersets would be like I would tend to favor some of the powersets from COV over new ones. I would prefer electric melee set or dark melee for tankers. Electric Armor or Dark armor for defense.

    An alternative would be Radiation based powersets , kinda like Fire but debuff more and green graphics of course.

    Some of the suggested powersets might be good if they were done well.
    Shield might be a good attack power set if it was round so you could throw it short distances like a boomrang and you could put something like an insigna on it ala chest emblem.

    Force feild could be a good defensive powerset as well.
    Not interested in weapons based powersets for attack, dont like them. Hate battleaxe and mace now so I figure wont like new weapon based ones either.

    My main hero a tanker, Lone Eagle could have used battleaxe, being an american Indian concept. but hated look and animation for battleaxe. Wrong kind of axe for Indian, so went Super Strength instead.
