Sorry, I may have been a little over-enthusiastic last night, it's just that I was furious that a Scrapper was making me literally worthless in my team. Whenever I tried to attack something, it was dead before my attack hit it.
Except for Nightstar, who just one-shotted me :P -
Woot, woot.
Don't forget that it's a knock-DOWN, too, not a knock-back-and-scatter-to-the-four-winds.
Yeah, would someone care to explain to me why it's ok for Scrappers to get better ranged AoE's than me? Especially when it's an AoE from my primary that they're getting through an APP. -

Energy Torrent in the Energy Blaster set does 2.2222 times brawl damage and is listed as Moderate damage. I'm not sure what it does for Scrappers, but it's listed as Minor damage, so I wouldn't be suprised to see it be quite weak.

Weak my [censored].
In my team there was a Scrapper that was using his version of ET along with a Spines power to two-shot oranges.
I bet he could be two-shotting reds, as well. -
If the Scrapper cap is higher than the Blaster's cap because they have to be in melee to use their powers, how come Blaster's melee powers still have the same 400% cap?
Also, if this is true for Blasters, I assume that the same is true for Scrappers. With APP's, Scrappers can use ranged attacks that do the same damage as Blaster's ranged attacks, but do more damage since they have a 500% cap.
That.
Is.
Stupid. -
Can't... See... Must... See...
Why doesn't the trailer work!? RRRR! >_< -
Learn how to Run. Like. Hell.
If a battle's going badly, do NOT be afraid to run. Run away so you can fight another day.
This includes getting good at manuevering. This is especially true in caves or in Council bases. If you have SS or Fly, get good at heading out, and not getting stuck in walls and such. Getting away FAST will allow you more time to heal, manage inspirations, wait for powers to recharge, set up a defense, regroup, get AWAY from that horribly fast mob, etc, etc.
Running is very important. Get used to doing it. -

You're going to have energy blasters going nuts trying different combinations of this, DustKing.

DusK!
K!
It's a K!

Well, can you fit two ET's into one BU AND Aim cycle?
Since BU takes a moment to activate and Aim takes a moment to activate... -
Ok, unless I completely suck at CoH math (which is possible, the last time I tried doing math I managed to get 80% defense using Power Boost >_>
, then these are the numbers for Energy Torrent with recharges (assuming ET is slotted with 1 Acc, 2 Recharge, and 3 Damage):
(1.8333 + .8333) * (1 + (1 + .65 + .33 * 3)) * 2 = 19.412848
That's in one BU+Aim cycle... Fire Breath is
(1.6250 * 3) * (1 + (1 + .65 + .33 * 5)) = 20.9625
Holy crap that's close o.O
I'm still not sure if you can do it with only one recharge, but if you could... (1 Acc, 1 Recharge, 4 Damage)
(1.8333 + .8333) * (1 + (1 + .65 + .33 * 4)) * 2 = 21.172804
O_O
Wow...
Lemme see if that works...
EDIT: Does my math suck? Please don't tell me it sucks >_> -
Well, I'm a Blapper, so I'm up close anyway. It often does miss one or two, but it works better if you have a wall to group them up with.
It's obviously not as good as something like Firebreath and Fireball, but at least it's something =/ -
I just wanted to post something I found out with Energy Torrent and Explosive Blast...
I slotted Energy Torrent with two recharges, so with that and Hasten, I can fit two ET's into one BU+Aim cycle. With this and EB, I can "alpha" up to oranges, if I knock them back into walls. They don't really get any return fire since they're all on the ground.
Sooo this was just a really cool find for me. Now I can actually blow groups up =P -
Holy crap that was awesome!
I want my comic now, please >_> -
I'd much prefer it if Hamidon Origin Enhancements just didn't exist...
