Hijack.
I wonder - as I do about all the NPC heroes - what are his powers? -
Okay, so Numina is Empathy/*? */Empathy? Or is her Signature Power the ability to use the Medicine Pool without whipping out that stun gun thing?

The hell? When did *that* happen? I must have missed that episode of Captain Planet - I don't remember any story of a "Heart"less Cap at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
Captain Planet's wasn't always Ted Turner's communist propaganda tool. In the origional concepts, Captain Planet actually looked like it was going to be kind of cool.

That's all very nice if you're in the mood for a discussion on the ulterior motives of media moguls. However, it does not answer the question. -

Ghost Widow is Belladonna Vetrano.

Well apparently many CoH players have been staring at their screens too long.
You know, this wouldn't be an issue if Posi were his normal copper color. Why you gotta be difficult? -

Forget the bobbing. Why is he gray?!?
[/ QUOTE ]
hm looks bright blue to me -- you must be color blind. Right, everyone?
[/ QUOTE ]
Unless Banner!Positron is the same color as the *bright blue background*, the answer to that question would be: *crickets* He is most definitely gray.
Maybe Pos just never wanted to put as much effort into designing his alternate costumes as he did for his primary one, and just changes the color from time to time? -

Also...how sad is it that I'll be giggling my head off at "big thunder dump" for at least 3 days? -

i do not know what is worse. someone who has reached 40 already complaining about no end game content (not that anyone has but give it a few weeks) or someone with 12 alts complaining about low end content.
there is alot in the middle you know.
[/ QUOTE ]
I vote for the 40-already guy. SLOW IT DOWN!!!
Otherwise, ditto on expanding the early CoV game. Even if you just have 1 toon of each AT, slugging through Kalinda and Mongoose over and over is tedious. -
Dark Watcher - Illusion Control/Force Field/Teleportation, making him a Controller
Vambrace - either a Kinetics/Electrical Blast Defender or an Elec/Energy Manipulation Blaster, with Flight
Elementar - Storm Summoning/Electrical Blast/Flight Defender
Maiden Justice - Martial Arts/Super Reflexes Scrapper. At least at the point where I am in the book, she doesn't have Invulnerability. -
For people who are high level enough (as I hope to be someday): Praetorians. And Ghost Widow, Wretch, Captain Mako, Barracuda, Black Scorpion, Silver Mantis, Scirocco, and Ice Mistral.
If you're a villain, maybe you should get to use the Freedom Phalanx and the Vindicators at a certain point.
Totems
Tsoo Ancestor Spirits
Fake Nemeses
Rikti drones
Knives of Artemis
Behemoths
Anything that fights you in PvE, really. -

I love this thread. It has that great smell of my master!*gives Master Manticore an arrow-shaped cookie*

I suppose I must be the only one slightly disturbed that you can smell Manticore.

Okay, I'll say it. [setup] How does Manticore smell? [/setup] -
I'm starting to think WoA is CoH's AU, mutually exclusive "bookverse". From what I've read here thus far, the plotlines do not mesh.

What if someone else picks you nose?

"That nose is already taken! Please choose another nose." -
Maybe because there is no "Mrs. Liberty"?
This is what I know: Paragon City Earth has Ms. Liberty, the Atlas trainer and sidekick of Statesman. She's the daughter of Miss Liberty and granddaughter of Maiden Justice.
Praetorian Earth has Dominatrix; her in-game bio also says that she is the daughter of Miss Liberty, thereby making her the counterpart to our Ms. Liberty.
However, I have seen Rednames (possibly even in this thread) say that Dominatrix is the daughter of Ms. Liberty, whom Dominatrix killed; thus in this version, Dominatrix isn't an exact alternate version of Ms. Liberty.
Oy. -
[ QUOTE ]
Hmm.
I thought Ms. Liberty, the daughter of Miss Liberty and granddaughter of Maiden Justice, is the one who stands in front of City Hall in Atlas Park and leads the Vindicators (made up of each of the core Freedom Phalanx's sidekicks).
Isn't her mother the one who has taken up leadership of Freedom Corps (started by Statesman as an answer to the 'justice-for-hire' Hero Corps, I thought)?
Longbow, I think, is basically the military wing of Freedom Corps that is trying to make headway into the Rogue Islands.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's correct; Ms. Liberty is the Atlas Park trainer, States' sidekick, and the leader of the Vindicators, and Longbow is indeed an organization, and not an SG per se. No idea about Liberty's mother/Miss Liberty heading Freedom Corps, though it would make an odd sort of sense.
I second the motion for an official CoH Signature Hero database/FAQ. I love knowing this kind of stuff. -
Hm; I had thought that Blue Steel was BAB's SK given that they're both (or were, in BAB's case) cops, and that BAB is the only one without an SK. EDIT: BAB and Blue Steel were in the Regulators together according to history plaques and backstory, so it's a reasonable assumption that they're Mentor/SK, respectively.
I'm not sure which SG BAB counts for these days; I remember him leading the Regulators from the history badge story and bits of his backstory, but also remember hearing that he'd also been or is part of the Freedom Phalanx. EDIT: Seems BAB eventually left the Regulators for the Freedom Phalanx, after which the Regulators disbanded, leaving Blue Steel without an SG. Add to that that Back Alley Brawler is counted amongst the Surviving Eight, all the rest of whom are the Freedom Phalanx.
As for the Woodsman...wasn't he Numina's mentor in life, before he died and Numina moved up to the Phalanx and became Infernal's mentor? Or am I dreaming that? -
[ QUOTE ]
Um just a quick question. I noticed you didn't say anything correcting Miss Libertys powers. It says she is a martial arts scrapper but she carreys a sword on her belt, shouldn't she be a Katana Scrapper?
One more question, is Back Alley Brawler the only member of Statesman's SG who doesn't have an SK or does he have an SK and if so who?
[/ QUOTE ]
IIRC, Back Alley Brawler's SK is Blue Steel, the King's Row trainer. Not absolutely sure on that one, though.
As for Ms. Liberty, it's explained in the Hero-1 thread that the sword she carries is Hero-1's sword Excalibur, left in her care before he went with Omega Team to the Rikti Homeworld. She doesn't use it, and simply holds in in wait for the next Hero-1. So given that, plus the fact that Manticore didn't correct her info, she is probably still a Natural Martial Arts/Invulnerability Scrapper.
Now, if Manticore could tell us the specs for Numina, the Woodsman, Blue Steel, and Ravenstorm, he'd really make my day.
