  1. Out of curiousity, when is the Guide going to be updated? I ask because trolling through the entire post to find one or two newer things that have not been catagorized yet.

I understand that it is quite the undertaking. It would also be helpful if old posts were deleted or archived so that only the new guides that were submitted after the last update would be listed. I just think that it will help players more than trying to go through everything.
  2. Hi there. First, let me say Welcome back to Winza (I noticed you were not around for quite a few posts and I was wondering if you ran away to bind other things.) I just read the entire forum. All 20 pages of it. Wow.

I just created my first Mastermind and I was hoping to make binds to have dialog between henchmen and my character.

But my character is strange. I would like him not to talk. Is there a way to talk in thought bubbles (telepathic conversations)? I will sacrifice that if I need to.

The real question is this: I have 10 or so characters. If I use a bind file (and I know other people asked this, but no clear answer was given, at least that I found) for Baroness Ana, will Baroness Pyre also have the same file associated with her?

The other question is: Whenever I make a new character, I have to spend 20 minutes resetting all of my keys. Is there a way to save the current keymaps that i have already set up- for one character and set them for another? And if you switch keybing files, will all of the keys change to default or will only the ones that are in the new file change?

In an attempt to be more clear (or confuse the subject): I have let's say 9 keys redefined. I want to use one of the scrolling conversations that Winsa has mentioned. When I load the next bind file I assume that the other 8 keys will retain their properties and the one that will change is defined in the new file is the only one that changes.

    Is that correct?

I agree and disagree here. As a person that has had a variety of schedule changes and late night or early morning playing sessions get interrupted by the maintenance, I can say that it is very annoying. But it is scheduled. I can anticipate the servers being shut down around 9am and I check periodically to see when they are back up.

Yes, this is an annoyance, especially for people that have this time set up for their daily game sessions.

But I would rather have that schedules downtime and have it fixed and maintained than have them do emergency maintenance on the server at 9:30 or 10pm on a Friday or Saturday. Which is exactly what happened to people on Protector last week.

And saying that 9am to 11am isn't their deadest time may not be completely true. When would you like them to do it? I have had a majority of my supergroup online and doing PvP or missions until 6 am here and there are still quite a few people playing. I have stayed on doing a Respec until the kicked us from the servers some mornings.

I understand the frustration of people not being able to get on the game when it is most convienent to them, and right now the hours of 9 am to 11 am are the most convienent for me to play as well.

The staggering of server downtime would possibly fix this complaint. If the east coast server went down at a different time than the west coast servers, at least you could have a server up to play on, but this may impede Cryptic from performing the tasks necessary, or doubling the amount of work and resources they need to allocate to it, which people will then complain about Cryptic not making new content of not offering Power customization.

And it is not like this happens all the time where the servers are down for hours at a time for days in a row. Only occasionally.
