Well what can I say. It was certainly an ill advised posting. Little did I understand the complete lack of tollerance for the way other people, who pay as much to play this game as everyone else, may like to enjoy the game. I will indeed steer clear of RV as you all so eloquently suggest. Thats one less person for you harrass over and over again I guess. Chalk it up as a victory for the 'how dare they play in my zone without my permission' brigade. Looks like there will be many more.

Of course Heavies are not solely for my own use. But they are rare and if you loose it your time there is effectively over. If I have a heavy I always broadcast that I have one and offer a space on my team to share it. I'm not stupid u know

I completely 'get' pvp zones and i'm not expecting to recieve support per say. I'm just appealing to those with a better side to their nature to use it. I expect nothing from those who dont.

Oh and what I said about farmers fields and smokers polluting our air does not imply rules are broken at all. I suggest you read a little closer.

After a particularly unpleasant night in Recluses Victory, again, I thought I might just air my views on the players who made it so unpleasant, and those like them. Call it therapy if you will.

Ok, now, yes I know that Recluses Victory is a Player vs Player zone. As such I know that another player has every right to walk up to and 'defeat' another player. However, Recluses Victory is widely regarded as more than just a place to PvP. Its also quite a fun place to kill a couple of hours and get some fairly decent XP. Its also a particularly helpfull zone for those with limited time online for whatever reason, as they can spend that time gaining XP rather than hunting down teams, which isn't always easy as I'm sure many will know. Its also good for those that like to solo alot and are a bit sick of mission after mission and would like a bit of light relief.

With the above paragraph in mind, it would be nice if those that wish to actually PvP could leave those that dont wish to, well alone. I'm fully expecting at this point for someone to skip the rest of this message, and using the reply button, post some poorly written, indignant response about how "its a PvP zone so I will kill you coz I roxorz and you shouldn't be here if you dont like it", followed by some kind of threat to beat me up next time they see me there. To that I have this to say. Yes you have the right to kill players ( so save your suggestion that I petition you for some one stupider than me ), but if you choose to exercise that right on players who want to enjoy RV for other reasons you are on morally indefencible ground. You are taking enjoyment at the expense of the enjoyment of other players. Its akin to the right to use a Public Right Of Way through the middle of a Farmers field. You have the legal right to do this and trample the Farmers crops, but its a reprehensible act non the less. Or perhaps the Smokers somewhat incomprehensible idea that because he has the right to smoke in a resturant and pollute the lungs of other people, he therefor should.

RV is not just a PvP zone. If it were, then there wouldn't be so much XP laying around to attract the non PvP players. And if you are thinking, like someone said the other night, that my not wanting to PvP is spoiling your enjoyment of the game, remember that I wouldn't even be there if it was a purely PvP zone.

I'm expecting a Stalker at this point to step up and claim that because he's a Stalker and therefor designed for PvP he must kill me in the way that Stalkers do because thats all they are good at. Well fine, kill me once, prove your superiority, feel great about yourself and then move on. Dont do it over and over and over again. But if I loose my Heavy to another player as a result expect a frosty response. But better than that would be to go to Warburg or even better, Sirens Call, where all the real PvP is happening.

So please people, if players want to be left alone, leave them alone. Your not obliged to kill them. And if you do, then you are of questionable character.
