If this is indeed true that they "fixed" Hami Travel Enhancements then it must have truly been broken before - because they are still broken now. I recently tested Travel-Hamis in flight quite extensively. Unfortunately I am at work and cannot recall all the numbers.
I do know that Travel HOs give less speed than a comparable SO. The percentage of speed increase currently with an HO is about 30% instead of the 50% that it should be.
The one test number that I do remember off the top of my head (because it is the way I ultimately slotted my Fly as a result of these tests) is that Fly slotted with 3 50++ speed SOs yields approximately 53 mph. Fly slotted with 2 50++ speed SOs and 1 travel HO yields approximately 52mph - less than all SOs.
The only reason I even slotted the HO after testing is because it still give the end red benefit for a reduction of only 1 mph - well worth it in my book.
I also tested 3 HOs vs 3 50 (even lvl) speed SOs and though I don't have the numbers here at work - I can tell you that 3 SOs was faster. (I can post numbers later if any are interested). If the travel HOs were working correctly it should only take 2 HOs to equal 3 SOs. This most definitely is not the case currently.
