just played it , would have played it sooner but computers been down so I chose TL's mission to pop my MA cherry .

very goofy fun , I found the Lizardfruit Bio very very amusing and more than a bit true

Deebs here im the semi official lush and forum malcontent hereabouts and I was pretty much in your boat when I started playing CoH .

I had doodled alot as a kidlet but then lost intrest in it for other things <many years pass> then I started playing City of Heroes and loved the ability to create things ....If I could think it up chances are I could create it in game ....but then I wanted pictures of my characters and at the time being a starving student comissions were sorta outta the question .

So I started sketching

nothing fancy at first , I held lots of temp jobs and would draw while handling the phones at work on yellow note pads and post it notes , on the dry erase board in the break room , on the back of invoices for customers .

then at some point my squiggles started looking more and more like what they were supposed to .

I drew things id see at work , id try new styles that I saw in books or online , I never traced but id often have and still have pictures around my computer of artists I like or strange real life outfits or styles to prime my imagination .

Art is one of those skills that if you don't use , it will tend to atrophy a bit but if you work out your art muscles everyday it really will grow by leaps and bounds .

I think most folks here can show you art they did years ago that looks nothing like the art they do now .

Anyways thats the only advice I can really give you , Encouragement .

so get to it hoss , not everything you draw has to be a finished work of art . I have reams of photocopier paper covered in weird lil half finished ideas .

sketch every day

don't get discouraged

don't worry why person a is so much better or worse then you

do your own thing and move at your own pace

Well id happily settle for the mods locking the thread and us not seeing another MMO thread pop up .

I really don't think companies should be using the forums to advertise in the first place espescially if they can't seem to meet their deadlines and seem to leave a trail of disgruntled customers .

ahahaha oh no don't take this as me trying to make everyone be nice , this was definitely a snarky post on my part .

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back at the beginning of this thread we had folks griping about this very thing , then immediately become all sunshine and roses when MMO showed back up .

personally its rather amusing to me at this point . I feel badly for any folks that have outstanding comissions , im sure they will be done ...someday when MMO art gets around to it .

but honestly this has happened what twice now , im not saying cut your looses and walk away but geesh some of you should have known better

Maybe since MA art related missions are so popular currently we should craft one with MMO arts ingame character running about a mission map with money trailing out the back while spamming in local

its fairly easy to do trades across servers via wentworths ((which is cross server)) i've moved 500 million from virtue to various other servers this way and its not very hard to figure out how .

I gave you all the input I could , hope you were able to handle it all FOO :P
