  2. I think its a nifty idea but I'll likely abstain

I do wish you the very best for the contest though and my suggestion would be to maybe try it on Deviant Art where you'd have a larger pool of maybe intrested partys .

(im sure their may be a few intrested partys here but you likely have less folks that draw pretty pictures than people that like to look at them , whereas DA has a greater precentage of artists in general )

ehh same difference to me , no use bothering over a good or bad comment if folks can't be bothered to leave their name
  4. I just turned mine off , A comment without a name attached is pretty worthless .

See but at least you posted something , I consider drawing something then posting it pretty brave
    good , bad , indifferent <shrugs>

its more that im just not really intrested in what folks have to say if they can't be bothered to pick up a pencil and post their own stuff .

What ticks me off is the idea that a non-artist's opinion should be dismissed out of hand simply because they're not an artist. Going back to your plumbing example, the actual plumber is probably going to get it right. But that doesn't mean that the non-plumber is automatically always wrong. I may not be an expert but I can tell that the seal around the drain has sprung a leak or if one of the pipes is broken. I still have helpful commentary to add to the discussion.
I dismiss folks oponions out of hand if they aren't a fellow artist , I don't really care about the quality of their work so much as that they Draw and are willing to post their works to be looked over . I will also pay attention to anyone that redlines a sketch I posted (I figure if they take the time to make a redline on a pic and post a link then they are at least somewhat serious about discussing the piece and not just joe useless stopping by plus I can then easily visualise what the heck they are babbling on about .)
  9. ooooh im up in the air on who to bring to this

SugarThrusters , my female Starscream homage
MechaDragonberry , scourge of the Tokyo playgrounds
    or
    French Robot Maid

......accck i'll be there though ...hmm who to wear , who to wear !

pretty much , but theres of course some crossover and such , best thing to do is judge folks based on their interactions with you and take everyone with a grain of salt .....Like Shecky :P
  11. I was always under the impression ERP stood for Elderly Role Play , I've been loging in my 80 year old retiree and hobbling around looking for my dentures in pocket D ...sadly no takers so far ...and for a 80 year old she is the hawtness in her babydoll tee and hotpants .

who woulda thought that the E in ERP stood for erotic and not elderly !

    geesh

Well excpet for me who is a super secret clique of 1 (If that is possible) and tolarates the insolent others (Just Kidding).
I'll totally vouch for the CAPE being a great bunch of guys and gals to while your time away with and its another active channel to meet folks , discuss music and form teams ....whatch out for shecky though ....total troublemaker !!

But he has a amazing radio playlist

Pretty much the same thing, although many a soul in Pocket D will argue the many nuanced differences. A lot of talking dirty in the first and second person.
If you don't like writing descriptions about how you'd undress someone, or reading about how they would undress you, steer clear of it. On the other hand, if you do, welcome to Pocket D!

hahaha the above pretty much sums it up different strokes for different folks and all that

Ask away , you've already heard from the other guys so I figure i'll give you a more unbiased set of answers

    Quote:
-Is Virtue mostly Role-players? I want to give RP a try as I've never attempted it on any other games. RP sounds like it would be fun if no other reason than it would be different, and would hopefully be devoid of running into too many toons named DarthGokuverine.
Virtue does indeed have alot of RP active players with alot of diverse RP playstyles , but you can honestly spend your whole life on Virtue and never run into RP on teams or bracket speech (( )) .
While some folks will paint "LOL Virtue" as a RP paradise in all honesty like most servers your time here is what you make of it .

most of the folks here are joe average gamers that like to fiddle with the costume creator , level a bit and hang out with friends real salt of the earth types , some of us want to rp our personal creations and flesh them out a tad .

but like any server you'll find your fair share of less than desireable community members , my small bit of advice is roll with it and move on.

The Virtue forums are on the other hand mostly Role players or Role player tolerant folks so its never a bad idea to throw your name out there in the hopes of meeting folks here first who can introduce you to folks once in game saving you a bit of time you might otherwise waste playing the shy wall flower (I had the hardest time introducing myself when I first got intrested in actually talking to players )

you don't have to roleplay , nor will you be considered a social pariah if you decide that maybe being inducted in the secret order of ((bracket)) speech isn't for you ...but honestly give it a try you may find you enjoy it .

-Is Virtue full of elitist cliques? All of my main toons are on Freedom and I have had difficulty in the past trying to find an SG where I thought I fit in. Freedom is sometimes too crowded and all the competent players stick to themselves leaving PuGs (what i find myself in most of the time) to be wrought with frustration.
like any server you will find quite a few cliques here , it really can't be helped . from elitest rp , badge hunting , power leveling ...you name some activity and someones likely to have a super secret clique you won't be deigned awesome enough to enter ...well screw em
the forums on Virtue are super active and a great way to find RP SG's as well as non RP sg's that are active and take great care of their members .

while not a member I always like to give a shout out to the Paragonian Knights as a very Large SG with several affliated groups covering both RP and nonrp as well as a incrediabley active global channel .

And speaking of channels I strongly suggest joining VU2009 , your silenced upon entry but pm any mod and they will unsilence you ...VU2009 is almost a cornerstone of virtue and a great way to find teams and such .

  19. there are alot of very cheap artists floating around DA or Deviant Art and you'll often find alot of rather nice deals if you look around .
  20. Heyas and welcome to virtue

if sandy already grabbed you for vu2009 then your already in good hands .

don't take the forums too seriously ...I end up teaming with folks I have death vendettas against far too often

welp the person my friend suichi comissioned is Squisharific on Deviant Art , Here's a link just in case anyone wanted to see about getting a plushy for the gamer girl , boy or online undercover FBI agent in their lives ...or for themselves .

    http://squisherific.deviantart.com/

I think I might get a plushy of the ocho or moderator 8 , then I can set up fierce toy battles between me and him every time he thinks im acting out of sorts or being a pest

im gonna totally embarress my angry mean friend suichi now !

he said he didn't have anything to get me a gift with so he entered someones art contest on DA and won enough to purchase me this so id always have something to remember the game by even when the servers someday shut down
