Hi there. I'm glad to see another AR/Eng blaster. I've got a group build that I use constantly. It's mainly built around perma-hasten that way I can have a wonderful damage output for both AV/EB/GM and aoe Godlike build.
As for agro, I never really have an issue with agro, you just have to be cautious of the tanks taunts. I usually don't attack until I see the first aoe taunt, after that I usually don't have a problem.

Hello all. This blaster has been my main and all time favorite character in City of Heroes. My main point with this build is perma-hasten. The faster my skills come back the more dmg I can do and the more stacks on the mob. This is not a cheap build, but it has amazing single target dmg and amazing aoe dmg. Say hello to my character, Death Bullet. Ignore the slot placement levels, especially with stamina, I tend to forget about it till the end of the build on mids.

I recently went VIP. I started the Mender Ramiel arc before freedom and was on the defeat Trapdoor mission. After Freedom went live, I logged on and defeated Trapdoor, but couldn't go further in the arc or even complete the mission until I went to VIP status. For some reason after I went VIP status I went to Mender Ramiel and completed the mission, but nothing happened. The mission disappeared from my mission log as if I completed it but Ramiel gives me no other missions. He is in my inactive contact list with an arc symbol as if I have more to do, but when I talk to him he just has a list of questions as if I was done with all his missions. At this point I can't get my incarnate abilities and I am VIP. Does anyone have any light to shed, maybe I'm missing something?
Would appreciate the responses. -
I'll have to try these, I was going to go ahead and buy that luck of gambler recharges but hell they are about as expensive as some of the purp recipes I'm looking at, but I do appreciate the input and advice, on my second build I'm building a more single target dps with burst cryo freeze and ignite.

lol, yah I have all of these enhancements, some of these are temp until I can afford some purps. Thanks for the advice.

Hello, this is my first 50 char and my pride and joy. I love my blaster so much and I am a group clearer. with full auto/lrm/and many other cone/aoe's I can ae farm very well. Thing is I'm looking for advice to perfect him even more. Here is my current build with the IO sets. I focus on recharge reduction and because I've had many slots left over I 6 slotted Hasten and atm with this set up it is only a 25 sec downtime with hasten. I figured the faster full auto come backs the more damage I can pump out. with the Chance of Energy with posi set full auto is nastier then before. I don't have many purps the one apoc I found on a farm. Let me know your opinions.

Assault rifle is "King of Cones" don't even bother with burst though, slug and down is worth it. my 50 ar blaster is AR/Eng for energy thrust (great for 'get out of my face' situations), build up (nothing like using 'surv/build/lrm/fA' most things are dead except bosses but ehh, usual) enhance range, (makes FA even better since it's innately narrow) conserve power (for those really long fights) and Total focus (great stun and huge dmg)
pools I chose were flight (travel), speed (hasten only), concealment(hey solo is easier, especially with phase shift), and fitness (usual)
Munitions epic is very nice for AR as well and surveillance makes the lethal defense not as bad. -
I absolutely love my AR/Eng/Mun blaster, massive cones and great dmg. bean bag + total focus+cryo freeze in mun equal great survivalbility, plus almost all of ARs attacks are kockdowns, and thrust is a great knockback.
