Well I played all weekend long with a friend who plays the MMORPG and one who never has. They both loved it. We had alot of fun and it seems to be catching on rather quickly. I've started a fansite for it which has full spoilers for all the cards and a bunch of other stuff called Hero Vs Villain. I would suggest anyone try this game out, and if you are looking for cards there seems to be a bunch of people trading for the cards they want on my site so that could assist people in getting the cards they need to make decks based around their CoH hero.

Ummm, wouldn't that be like what villains are supposed to do?

The thing about the demo decks is that they went to press MONTHS before the base set. There was more than a little bit of rushing to get things ready for press, so a chunk of art from the comic (already made, didn't need to wait for artists) was used. Also, original art that normally would have been sent back for retouching or improvements had to be accepted simply due to time constraints so that the deck would be available to Gencon.

heh, well I don't think anyone was arguing with you there Typically though AEG games have some of the best art in the CCG business. Take a look at some of their other CCG's like Warlord or Legend of the 5 Rings, some very nice art there. Also with Top Cow handeling the art chores for the most part I think it is safe to say that we will be getting some top quality stuff on these cards.

of the demo decks almost all the art is taken from the first 4 comics. I still think it looks nice though and for those who would like to see it I have a full text and image spoiler over at my City of Heroes CCG fansite Hero Vs. Villain in my online deck builder. I also have .png and .psd templates so you can take your screenshots from the game and create your own custom hero cards with it.

Thanks for all the info on the game. I'm especally excited about the CCG info. For anyone that cares I started up a website for the City of Heroes CCG called Hero Vs Villain. I'm working on getting full spoilers for the demo decks and I'll also have an online deck building program. The City of Heroes CCG lead designer Dave Williams has already signed up on the forums so I'm hoping we will have a good discourse with the designers and players.
