Ah, I gocha. I think for the size that I am making it the second would probably work fine, I mean just looking at this screencap, the statue itself isn't too much more detailed anyway: http://www.cityofheroes.com/game_inf...ens/Atlas1.jpg

Although, I probably won't get a chance to do it until Saturday. School comes first and all that.
That would be awesome! I am pretty sure the program I was looking at can downgrade the detail to the block count, so don't worry about making it blocky. I am probably going to start the base at about sea level, but its possible I could make it larger if I were to make a crater for it or something. 128 is the max from top to bottom? Probably wont go any more than 2/3s that, so like 90 or so I guess. When its built it would be nice to be able to somewhat easily distinguish Atlas's arms, head, and body from the globe.

Thanks, theres no rush by the way, I still need to get around to preping an old laptop for a server and figuring out how to set one up before I try to do this, but I may try a smaller version in one of my existing worlds. I have school and work to worry about as well, but whenever I get to finishing it I will upload a pic.
  3. I don't need it too detailed, I actually want to make the statue in Minecraft on a server that I will be setting up, so if it is very detailed it will be reduced when made of blocks. I found a program that will convert a 3D image into plans to build it and wanted to try it with something from COHV.
  4. I am looking for a 3D model of the Atlas statue in Atlas Park in one of the following formats: VRML, OBJ, OFF, DXF, PLY or STL. Does anyone know if one has been made? Or if there isn't an existing one does anyone know how to make one?

    Thanks!
