  1. I agree with most of your comments on the dark secondaries, but I find CoF works quite nicely.
I started my original build with Death Shroud, then respec'd it out at lvl 16, respec'd it back in at 38, and almost immediately took it out again and took an extra attack (Crippling Axe Kick) that I hadn't looked at before, and haven't looked back since.

See you on the Australia channel :-)
  2. I must be missing something here - I've read through Screwball's guide AND this one but I can't seem to get a toggle to work for CoF.
I have set up a bind that makes CoF activate, and local message "Fear Me!" display,

    CTRL+5 "+ $$local FEAR ME!$$powexec_name cloak of fear$$bind_load_file c:\Program Files\City of heroes\dantekeybinds2.txt"

    with an additional file (dantekeybinds2.txt)

    CTRL+5 “+ $$powexec_toggleoff cloak of fear$$bind_load_file c:\Program Files\City of Heroes\dantekeybinds1.txt”

which I would like to turn off CoF, without repeating the local message.
Problem is - it doesn't work. CoF deactivates but displays local message again - I'm guessing it's something to do with the bind load command in the first txt file?
  3. My main is a MA/DA scrapper (DA being a very end-heavy toggle set), but I still manage to fight my way through most doors mishs without having to rest more than once or twice, usually after going through 5-6 groups of enemies.

I've slotted most of my defensive toggles with 1 end reduce, and have endurance from the fitness pool with 2 end enhancers slotted.

When I play with a team, I rarely have to rest at all, even when doing TFs.
  4. I've got to agree here - I hear so many ppl complaining about not being able to one shot or take on HUGE groups, or even SMALL groups of higher-level enemies.
The point is, the fact that enemies are higher level than you suggests they SHOULD be tougher..... I'm sry, but this seems like a no-brainer to me.
I solo most of the time, and generally will only go up to 2 purples. Yes, it means slower xp gain, but also less planting.
For those ppl who are all about xp gain, remember why you started playing in the first place - IT'S FUN!!!
It's the playing that counts, not getting easy level-ups, or having to be UB3R!!!1!!!
