I could be wrong here because I obviously wasn't around when the ladder first started however I am pretty certain it was not the very first organized pvp event. Being the PVPEC formed it and the PVPEC was in existance before the ladder I think its a pretty safe bet to say the ladder was created and flourished while other pvp events were going on.
Again ( for atleast the 5th time in this thread alone) I do not know if or when I might run a mini ladder or where it will be. (If I do it will take some time to set up, time to get prize support, time to get an updater, time for teams to sign up, time for practing and then eventually to start) I do however know we have other events that will be coming out. Immediately. This month. I also know we have reps across all 11 servers that are going to continue to run events regardless of whether the ladder is forming, when it forms or if it is stable. While I can wholeheartedly understand that this is the #1 priority for a lot of people (test used to definitely be my #1 priority) and its exciting that maybe things are heading back in that direction it is not for everyone. It is not the only event that should or will go on. There are not only people that will be joining this ladder that are going to want other forms of pvp but there are people not interested in this ladder that want other forms of organized pvp. Because you don't, doesn't mean others don't. -

Its alot simpler then you think, if a team only has stalkers on the map at the end of the round they lose. Trying to say DCers and stuff just isnt going to work.

And on the note of how line-ups should be submitted. I don't really care. Counter-picking is really boring and is nowhere near as strategic or exciting as barrier makes it out to seem.
Edit: Add a rule that allows for the OPTION of a 20 minute official if both teams agree to it. While I'm sure plenty will say now that such a rule is unnecessary, it'd be nice to at least have. I know I personally asked practically every team that we challenged/fought on the ladder to do a 20 minute match before agreeing to 10. Plus it'd be nice to see a 20 minute official again, but that's me.
I agree with the stalker thing, aswell as the option to have 20 minute matches. -

Ok kat here is the thing. If the new less skilled pvpers all create teams it would essentially create a d6 version of the ladder at the bottom and they would play hella fun matches against each other. Those that got better faster would be fighting the better teams via being higher on the ladder. Its not a pvp io farm since you dont have to play every team twice ie the league. Team Greeny (hes a friend I can joke about him) doesnt have to challenge U2BU2BG. If enough lower end teams that wanna pvp join the ladder there is the lower end competition that you are looking for.

It has nothing to do with delaying start times, at all. Even if the start time is completely in stone it doesn't prevent counter picking. Understanding lineups and countering is one thing. But counter picking is retarded because of one simple fact: One of two teams will always get the last picks.
I'm not a huge fan of lineup submission either, but I fail to see the problem with it, as long as someone is there to take lineups. I honestly don't care all that much either way, but I lean toward liking double blind submission, since it completely prevents post-entrance counter picking - which by the way takes no skill whatsoever, and requires little (if any) knowledge of game dynamics. "They have stalkers, bring a fort!" What an ingenious tactical move! -

A big thing we would lose with using test is that people wouldnt see us pvping. Right now there are a bunch of people that sign on not on any team just to watch our matches because they knew about it from AC or Forums or friends. Not saying some wont come and become interested but downloading test takes alot more work then just porting to PD. Right now 90% of of the blasters have their Good Job procs anyways. I think test would limit the interest instead which would out weight the evening of the playing field. And isnt test going closed beta really soon?

Honestly the league was alot of fun even with all the drama in the middle. It ended in heart break for us, but still I enjoyed it. Thank you everyone that was a part of it and especially those that put it into motion: Peril Kat Silit Sneaky come to mind. Kat and Peril being the scape goats for everything.
Unless a ladder gets going Im leaving so if thats the case, Goodbye.
