The problem is discussed ad nauseam. The issue is, you can't really sit down and make a list of everything that is considered 'fighting', and what it not considered 'fighting'.
If there was a rule that didn't allow punching people in Pocket D, then what happens to a guy who wants to joke with his best pal and punch him in the shoulder?
If there was a rule that didn't allow any sort of violence in Pocket D, then what would happen to Super-Hero/Super-Villain taunts? That's violence, in my opinion.
Bottom line is, you can't turn Pocket D into a hippie zone. And you can't define a strict rule on what is, or isn't allowed in Pocket D. On top of all this, you can't control people.
But now I'm just going off topic. Sorry.

Oh, I hate when they do the Power posing also, I jsut find it funny how many people say there is not fighting in the D, when a standard fist fight would be possible, Although the offending people would more than likely get kicked out and banned. That would be a neat feature for the D.

I call that godmoding, mostly, and avoid it and people who do it. Especially in the D, where the canon clearly states no fighting.
I've done what I call RPvP, which is in the arena usually. The folks involved can decide "okay, this many KOs means X, or this result means Y, and if this other thing happens, the result is M." and it's worked out well. You do need mature players, though, who don't have to have everything go their way 100% of the time.
While I say "go with the flow", I always reserve the right to not RP and simply walk away from someone who is instigating RP I feel uncomfortable with, or who is trying to take advantage of me. This goes double for strangers coming up to me in the D (the few times I am there.) I know some folks who feel that they have to treat everything that happens in-game as IC, but I'm not one of them.

Pressure points do work, but they can be difficult to apply properly. I personally have gotten out of a choke hold by using a pressure point, and have use one on the hands when I was playing defensive line and the o-lineman decided to try and hold my jersy.
That being said, the MMA is a nice sport to watch, although it has gotten way watered down from what it used to be back when the UFC first started.
Martial Arts as taught properly with pressure points, philosiphy, and mediation, is unfortunately out of my price range to take ( I was looking at some Tai Chi dojos here). The fight only ones are less expensive and therefore more popular, plus a lot of people tend to take it more for a fast self defense than for the art of it. -
