1. Hows about Saturday morning for Sister Psyche? If we start at say... 9:00am we should be able to conclude before SpaceNut has to jet off to Lorton.

I'm also not really in the mood for a Friday night run, since I aim to check out the Watchmen as well.

Saturday morning works for ... who? Jamelles and Coors can definitely make it.
2. Completed it with a team of 8 in ~3:15. Sorry for the roster mix-up Turgenev! The team of 8 wound up being:

Coors L1ght
Jamelles
Filibuster
Magisterium
Vixen Healer
Mike Halo
Speaker of the House
Hush-

Next up... Sister Psyche!
3. Logging in now with Coors L1ght...

Here's where we stand as of lunch-time today. To try and include everyone, we could try splitting into two teams, though this can get tricksy by limiting available powersets. We'll see how things turn out once folks are logged in-game, and with any luck we'll grab a few more latecomers to make it a non-issue. Cheers.

I think I can make Friday, and I don't mind exemping for the merits!

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm hoarding all my merits on my two CO characters. Out of curiosity, what are you going to do with yours? I can never decide whether to craft something that will fetch a guaranteed high price at WW's in order to boost the ol' personal finances ... or... continue to save 'em up for later in the character's life when there is a specific IO you just have to have and yet are not willing to pay for.

Merits. I am not sure that I like 'em yet... though it was ridiculous that things like the Katie Hannon and Doc Q's TF's granted the same reward. Generally, I like how the rewards scale nowadays. Though I do think it's unfair in some regards that merit rewards are based on devs data-mining completion times versus a truer measure of overall difficulty. Villains are especially shafted here, due to top-tier VG's and teams speed-running things like the LRSF which is extremely difficult content rewarding *cough* 25 merits. As a random counter-example I ran Manticore's TF last night on a 7 person team with a 30 Defender on Infinity for 32 merits in about 1:30. These two things are not equal in difficulty, period. I feel LRSF is > MTF by a significant margin. It's just that the l337 people crush the LRSF over and over and over very efficiently, thus reducing average completion times, thus reducing their own eventual reward in the form of merits. Think about merits at your own risk.

Manticore's TF is fun, btw. That'll eventually happen here once Capitol Offense folks start getting up to 30.

The team so nice, Turg joined it twice!

Fixed that... looks like team #1 is now full and we are good to go @ 8:30PM. Let's plan on meeting up at the CO base, please. If more folks show up -- we'll need a volunteer to lead team #2.
7. Edited my original post with the updates and delay in start time. Sorry for those of you who can't make it; always hard picking out a good time... sigh.
8. Okay so it looks like Friday night is looking good so far as we've got the minimum four people available for Friday at .... let's say 8:30PM EST. Here's the link to the Synapse TF page at ParagonWiki.

9. Wanted to pop back up into the thread after being away over the weekend. Coors L1ght is still @ 18 and eager to lend a hand with the Synapse TF (min. 4 Heroes / lvls 15-20). Now that I'm back I can start trying to find a timeslot that works for the largest group of CO members. I also don't feel like waiting until next weekend; so my preference would be for a weeknight run as early as tonight even... This time around instead of suggesting a time at the beginning that is unlikely to work for everybody I'll try something different.

Let me know first if you're (1) interested in doing the TF sometime in the next 5 days; (2) when your preferred start time would be and (3) the times which you will not be able to make due to a conflict, etc.

Once I have an idea of how many people are interested and when they are available, I'll post again with a tentative roster and start time. If things happen fast, this could be as early as tonight.
10. Alrighty. So I'm going to have to defer the Synapse TF we've been bandying around the past few days until later, or pass the star to someone else willing to lead the run. It seems like my own RL plans for the weekend, along with many other folks here, are conspiring against us for the time being.

If anyone else wants to step up and lead the TF, please do. I will attend if I can make the scheduled time, but as of now it looks like I may be away all of Friday/Saturday and good chunk of Sunday. I suppose I could try tonight if myself and enough willing people are online and it just works out tht way.

Otherwise, no biggie... we can reschedule the TF for a weeknight next week or try again the following weekend. There are always Story Arcs, Radios, and O-bos mission to run... and I've been having a good time with Barak Obackup (lvl 8). I don't mind parking Coors L1ght near 18 until we work out Synapse.
11. It seems like there is consensus building toward an early Saturday morning Synapse TF, though there may be a few kinks to work out. The first kink is that I have to be somewhere at 12pm Saturday, which really means I need to leave my house ~11am. How about we try Synapse this coming Friday night? Starting any time from 6PM EST through 8pm EST? I'd love to work in the folks that were unable to join the last Posi run...

[ QUOTE ]
@Hulkbuster:
I would really like to participate since I missed Positron, but I'm busy on Saturday. I could do Friday night and Sunday though, and probably Thursday night.

[/ QUOTE ]

So Friday night works, here.

[ QUOTE ]
@VixenHealer:
Id love to do synapse on Saturday..can we make is a morning run this week? We have the ultra fancy cub scout Blue and Gold Banquet Sat night. I can level up my toon for the run quickly..

[/ QUOTE ]

How about you Vixen? Is friday night possible?

How about the rest of the folks?

If we can't make Friday night work... it looks like we may be starting something like 7 or 8am on Saturday morning. This probably isn't ideal for many people, but it works fine for me up until 11:30am or so. Could you make an early Saturday run, Hulkbuster? I'll await some more responses, then make a final post tomorrow during the day and start compiling a list of those who can attend once we pin down a time. I realize we won't be able to choose one that works for everyone. Sigh.

This weekend was one heckuva great Paragon-fest at our house.

We enjoyed the Positron TF immensely (Those words have never been uttered by me before). The rest of the long weekend things were very hectic so we did not get back with our friends on Champion to try something else. Thanks again for putting it together. What a RUN!

Someone mentioned Synapse... considering the skill and experience level witnessed during the Posi TF, I think we should make it a Standard CO Policy to hit each TF at level (and crush it!). I submit this to House Super-human Affairs Committee for further consideration!

Just a few of my thoughts as I sit here at work sipping coffee on a chilly Tuesday morning.

[/ QUOTE ]

Hey Mike,

I am sipping coffee on a chilly Tuesday morning too! Oh wait... that's right... all from the DC area

I was the one who mentioned Synapse, and I totally agree the SG team TF runs are a great idea. I had a good time organizing the Posi run, and will volunteer to lead Synapse next. The question becomes now... when? For starters, I am thinking Thursday or Friday night beginning at 7:30PM EST, or another run during the Saturday 3pm timeslot. I'll get a read on interest as I bump into folks in-game and around the forums, then draft a post with the preliminary scheduling information. Thoughts? Preferences?

I think A'ndromeda/Jamelles was going to put up a few screenies from the Posi run on her Shutterfly site... I'll check with her on that. As I recall, there were a few good ones.

Which reminds me... Turgenev, I applied to the GuildPortal site -- though I doubt you will recognize the name. If you have a site application from a long Sri Lankan sounding name with the initials M.R., that's me. Once I have access I can post images from our play-sessions to the GP site.

After Synapse, I will let someone else step forward to lead the next TF... or maybe see about revisiting Positron with some SG alts that are ~level 10-15 in the next ten days or so.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I will be logging on to Champion for Tanker Tuesday tonight with Coors L1ght, though I may have to hit the 'no xp' button to avoid level-capping Synapse. Happy hero'ing.
13. Huh, it seems as though my original Positron TF post is too old to edit? Anyhow ... for clarity's sake... the event I originally posted about today at 3pm has been cancelled, since we were able to complete Posi in a single-session yesterday.

Some sort of enjoyable, yet productive, replacement event(s) will happen this afternoon at 3pm. Suggestions are welcome.
14. Positron's TF was completed yesterday by a team of eight in: 3:38:27

It was a great, efficient, and wildy fun run. Now, if only our congress could perform like that ...

[u]Positron's Ally Badge was earned by the following Capitol Offense members on 02/14/09:[u]

Coors L1ght 16 Tank
Tech-Striker 16 Scrapper
Speaker of the House 16 Blaster
Sleetstorm 16 Controller
Filibuster 16 Scrapper
Mike Halo 16 Scrapper
Hush- 16 Defender
Jamelles 16 Scrapper

At the end of the TF, every team member was capped after dinging 16. Since we completed the TF in a single run... Today's continuation of the Task Force scheduled for 3pm (EST) becomes null and void. I will be online at 3PM, and will drum up some type of replacement activities... right now this will probably be running through the Steel Canyon and Skyway newspaper arcs and corresponding bank missions.

Eventually, I would like to run the next Task Force in line -- Synapse's TF. However, I'd like to schedule this with a bit more than a day's notice in order to allow folks to lvl up to about 17 or 18 and complete some character maintenance before getting started on this one. I'll see about Synapse later this week (Thurs/Friday) or perhaps next weekend.
15. [ QUOTE ]
I might try and run Posi with ya. Trying to get Tech to at least 10 before 3. Shouldn't be a problem even soloing. So yeah mark another Claws/WP scrapper on there.

[/ QUOTE ]

Awesome! I'm logging into the game client now ... Positron, we are coming!
16. As of now it looks like we have 5 folks enrolled for the Positron TF beginning at 3PM today. We'll plan on meeting in the Capitol Offense base then commuting to Posi to begin the task force. If we wind up running with the smaller team (vs. 8), it is possible we will complete the TF today in a single run (if we can do it under 4 hours and maybe arrange a break or two).

As usual, if you find yourself able to make it unexpectedly... look for me in game and I will do my best to work you in. After today's run I'll post again for an update on tomorrow and whether it will be a continuation or a possible repeat run of the TF.

Oh yeah, and Happy Valentine's Day to all y'all.

[u]Positron's TF, Team 1 Day 1 @ 3PM EST[u]

1. Coors L1ght 14 Stone/Ice Tank
2. Jamelles 14 Claws/WP Scrapper
3. @El_Zilcho TBD
4. Sirius Moonlight 35 Dark/Energy Defender
5. Filibuster 12? Dark/WP Scrapper
6. Tech 10 Claws/WP Scrapper
17. Had a great time with Frostfire tonight! 6/8 folks on the team were with Capitol Offense; and thanks to Aquarius Rex and Luminous Vivacity for stepping up to take #7 and #8 spots on short notice. Fun was had, and the level ups came almost too quickly for our congratulations. In an attempt to help, the Speaker of the House introduced an auto-congratulations bailout bill, but it was countered with a Filibuster and never got anywhere. Eventually, Frostfire was arrested, we visited some trainers, and all went home to rest for Positron tomorrow.

During a free moment at her Day Job, Jamelle cooked up a Shutterfly page to house a few screenshots (look for more to be added later). I hope to see as many of you as can make it for the Positron TF tomorrow starting @ 3pm.
18. Alright ... no new takers since the last edit on my original 12:22pm post summarizing the folks planning to attend "Frostfire Friday the 13th."

I'm logging into the game client now; looking forward to the run with those who can make it. I'll be on with the lvl 12 tank Coors L1ght. Capitol Offense SG base @ 7:30pm.
19. Alright... as of now it looks like we've got 4 or 5 folks for Frostfire Friday the 13th. I suggest we all meet in the base at 07:30pm before heading over to the Hollows. Obviously we will all be in-game so if you're late to the forums or are able to join unexpectedly ... please send me tells in-game and I'll work you in. Let me know if I missed anyone in the summarized list, below.

[u]Frostfire Friday the 13th @ Capitol Offense Base 07:30PM EST[u]

2. Jamelles (12 Claws/Willpower Scrapper)

5. @Darc_Reign (TBD) [hoping to make it]

I might be able to squeeze Frosty in Friday if I get to my destination by then. But after that I am a prisoner of Love until Monday evening. Silly long Valentine weekend.

[/ QUOTE ]

Heya Darc... I'll edit you in as 'optimistic' today for Frostfire tonight. I expect there will be some initial time lag as we catch people up on Flux's arc (if desired) and all travel to the Hollows, which optimistically will give you time to reach your destination. Have fun this weekend, whether you're able to join us to apprehend Frosty tonight or not.
21. Say... what do people think about Pinnacle for a potential villain-side edition of Capitol Offense? It's an East Coast server with a good community and comparatively low volumes ... myself and others from the M&G are known to play there already (including the now famous Aett_Thorn himself), and would be available to finance lowbies etc. I have several homeless villains there already.

What would be the name of the villain-side version of Capitol Offense, anyhow? Regardless of what server it winds up on ... names are fun. I've been seeing some awesome character names in the SG, by the way ... keep that up

I've come to the realization that eventually we're all going to want villains to play with, too. Really, it's just a matter of time and collective organizational willpower. It would be cool to run the Virgil Tarikoss Strike Force the week after Posi, for example, for comparison and contrast between red/blue-side content.
22. Thanks for the assist with the TS server 'striker. Please just send me a PM or in-game tell with the IP and we'll move forward from there.

I was just talking about this name with A'ndromeda/Jamelles in the car, and this is so win. Her hair and glasses are also already in the costume generator along with a red dress that is virtually a perfect match. I second this. Roll her today!

Hey, DB:

Add this to your original post please.

[/ QUOTE ]

Done! Thanks for taking the initiative on the GP site, Turgenev.

Say, do we have a TeamSpeak server in addition to the Ventrillo server mentioned earlier? I can get TS to play nice with my Vista rig, but my onboard audio and Ventrillo refuse to play nicely with one another and I'm through with trying to reconcile the conflict.
