  1. I don't quite understand why you'd care enough to post about it, really, but ok. Fine. Sorry.

I'd assumed the old posts had been deleted.

Anyhow...whatever. Come look at the site.

  2. We are an RPing supergroup on the Virtue server dedicated to emulating the "space cop" paradigm (Green Lantern Corps, Darkstars, Nova Corps, etc.)

Good people, growing base, lots of RP.

Come check us out... The Cerulean Legion

Try The Cerulean Legion ( click here! ).

    Lots of RP...indeed.
  4. Hmmm....well, we just disconnected from the Crimson Order...but feel free to visit them anyhow.

These are our character build options (there are good RP reasons for these)

    Allowed AT's / Powersets*:
    ShardBearers:
    Blasters (preferred AT) - Eng/Eng
    Tankers - Invul/Eng
    Controllers - Grav/Emp, Grav/FF, Grav/Sonic, Grav/Rad, Grav/Kin
    Defenders - Emp/Eng, FF/Eng, Sonic/Eng, Rad/Eng, Kin/Eng
Scrappers - MA/Regen, MA/Inv (Character must have a martial arts background. The Shard enhances their strength and speed (thus the blue energy trail following their attacks) and grants them their secondary powers. It does not give them any deeper understanding of the martial arts.)
    Kheldians:
Both Warshades & Peacebringers are allowed (Kheldians cannot absorb a Shard but are allowed to join the Legion due to their energies being derived "naturally" from the same source as the Shards are "magically".)
    * Some exceptions can be made, but these will be rare. For example, if an alien who already had some fire-based powers naturally were to also become a recruit, then we might consider something like an Eng/Fire Blaster or an Inv/Fire Tank.

( All characters, minus the Kheldians, must take flight as their primary travel power. Exceptions must be addressed via email with Ivan Cross and/or John Talbot. )

  5. We also have a villains group... The Crimson Order

    Check us out!
  6. We are now recruiting RP-minded individuals for our Green Lantern Corps-inspired SG on the VIRTUE server.

Come on over and take a look.

    The Cerulean Legion

    Here's our background story...

During and as a result of the cataclysmic Rikti invasion, mankind grew fearful and desperate, struggling for survival and victory over our foes. Desiring to find any means by which we could more easily and readily protect ourselves, our greatest minds...scientists and engineers from around the globe...were assembled in an attempt to breach other dimensions where we might discover and acquire new energies, resources, and weaponry.

We were successful. Previously unknown doorways to other realms were opened for the first time. We found our new technologies. We found our new energies. The tides of the war would now surely turn.

However, due to haste and ignorance of the ramifications of what they were doing, our overzealous and slightly arrogant researchers inadvertently caused a "minor" cosmic paradox...shattering reality and the cosmic "Source Stone" (the cosmic anchor by which all reality is defined and maintained) into several separate but less stable realities, each containing several dimensions and thousands of fragments, or "shards", of the Source.

Life went on as usual. Luckily, the inhabitants of Earth in each nearly identical reality managed to triumph over the Rikti invaders, yet remained unaware of the paradox or that the other realities existed at all.

In one such reality, soon after the war ended, a research vessel known as The Lancelot began it's four year exploration mission of the cosmos. This small, 11 man group of interstellar scientists and explorers, led by the French entrepreneur/adventurer Jean Luc du Lac and Canadian engineer/astronaut John Talbot, discovered an intense crystalline power source unlike any other known to exist at the time...fragments of the Source Stone...the shards of reality itself!

The only person on the crew with space walk experience, Talbot was sent out to gather specimens.

As cautious study of the small crystalline fragments began, the team noticed they seemed to emit their eerie blue glow more brightly in proximity to certain members of the research team than to others. The glow seemed particularly bright when Du Lac and Talbot came near and brighter still when in proximity to ship navigator Hugo Dak. Scans of the shards revealed no emission of heat or harmful radiation. Excited by this development, Du Lac decided to hold one with a bare hand. Once touched, the shard seemed to dissolve into his skin. Witnessing no adverse reaction, the rest of the team tried this as well, though only Talbot and two others (Hugo Dak and pilot Kiri Takase) had the same result. Strangely, all four reported feeling as though the shards chose them.

Suddenly, all four reeled, glowing the same cerulean light and overwhelmed as they were forcefully and mysteriously filled with an esoteric discernment of the fragmented Source Stone. They also found to their utter amazement that the Shards had granted them astonishing energy-based powers and abilities, though the nature of these gifts seemed to differ in accordance with the host's personality and strengths.

Discerning how exceedingly dangerous such power could be in the wrong hands, the Lancelot's crew gathered all the remaining shards they could find, forging a pact to use the power of the Source Shards to protect this reality and as a force for good in the universe.

Thus, the Cerulean Legion was born.

Using Earth as a base and as their training grounds, they now recruit from across the galaxy those brave, honorable, and strong enough to fight evil and injustice wherever it stands.

    OUR MISSION

The principal mission of the Cerulean Legion is to preserve the rights of all beings
through the prevention of crime, destruction of evil, protection of persons, property,
and the maintenance of order throughout the galaxy.

We believe that this can be accomplished in part through
the fidelity, bravery, and integrity of our officers
and through the example they set for others.
  7. Come see us!

We've started an opposing Villain group, The Crimson Order...an evil version of the Legion!

It is an exciting time in the Cerulean Legion! Join now!

    The Cerulean Legion

    on the Virtue server!
  8. Cool.
We knew there would be exceptions to the rules. As long as the exceptions make sense, I'm all for it.
After all, if the Green Lantern Corps can have a planet-sized GL, a robot GL, and those silly squirrel-looking GL's...we can be flexible too.

I'll be on a little tonight and maybe on Sunday. I'm mostly out of town this weekend. Look for "Jean Luc du Lac" or "John Talbot" to join up....or PM me your character's name and I'll be on the lookout.
  9. That sounds quite resonable. We can make that exception, as long as you are an android.
Can you do something to make your character look like an android, though? Perhaps the metallic skin or at least an inhuman skin color? Perhaps with the "circuitry" design on the face?
    What do you think?
We'd love to have you aboard.
3 more just joined last night. We are growing.

    PS
Thanks for the compliment on the backstory. Jean Luc thought the bare bones up, I rewrote and fleshed it out quite a bit.
  10. I posted it on those as well already.

  11. To many rules/restrictions?
    Stupid idea?

    Talk to me people.
  12. THE CERULEAN LEGION
a new RP-ing SuperGroup on the Virtue Server/Shard

    Greetings.
Some friends and I have decided to create a new RP-ing SG that emulates (but in no way imitates or copies) the "Green Lantern Corps" / "DarkStars" space-cop paradigm.
We weren't going to officially start this SG until after Issue 7 came out (due to possible changesin costume, etc.), but if enough people are interested (we have five members as I type this) we will start sooner.

    THE STORY/BACKGROUND:
During and as a result of the Rikti invasion of Earth, mankind was desperate. Desiring to find the means by which we could more readily protect ourselves, top scientists and engineers from around the globe were assembled to attempt to breach other dimensions where we might find new energies and weapons.

Soon after in the depths of space, a small group of interstellar explorers led by the French entrepreneur/adventurer Jean Luc Du Lac and Canadian astronaut John Talbot discovered an intense crystaline power source unlike any other known to exist at the time...the fragmented shards of reality itself.
As cautious study of the small crystaline fragments began upon their research and exploration vessel, the team found that the shards seemed to emit their eerie blue glow more brightly in proximity to some of the research team than to others. The glow seemed particularly bright when Du Lac and Talbot came near. Excited by this development, Du Lac decided to hold one with a bare hand. Once touched, the shard disolved into his body. The rest of the team tried this as well, though only Talbot and two others had the same result. All four were soon mysteriously overcome with knowledge of the fragmented Source Stone and were granted astonishing energy-based powers, though the nature of those powers seemed to differ in accordance with the host's personality.
