Blue King Issues: Soo horrible I thought they were an embarrasment to the game. The last issue was particularly bad. Looked incredibly amateur
Top Cow: Love them.. it looks like a professional comic. It's only issue 2 yet people are comparing it against a 12 issue Blue King run. I think once we have a few more issues to get characters and storylines down it will be better. I think the new one is more epic in scale then the old, which I prefer.
Diversity in comics (as was brought up throughout this thread), some good points there. Forgot Green Lantern as a transplanted hero b.t.w. Anyone remember a DC Hero named "Black Lightning"?? He was on the "Outsiders" team. Anyways.. I like diversity in my comics/heroes, but I don't like forced diversity (I mean where there is this massive mix and it's apparent it is done to hit quotas or something). Still that said no diversity also is not realistic.. I am not sure how to hit the balance or what that balance even is. Frankly I find Back Alley Brawler to be a bad representation anyways (I always loved Falcon in Marvel but the point about him being a hustler playing to stereotype is a good one.. well the character's name "Back Alley Brawler" to me does the exact same thing.. Horus was a better representation (and non-stereotypical). Anyways.. I don't think diversity should just mean african-american either though.. ok they added Foreshadow the Korean Martial Arts guy.. so no Hispanic characters? Zorro, El Diablo, something...
Oh well.. it's early.. give Top Cow a chance.. I think the storys are better, the art it better, the production quality is better.. I enjoy reading the new comic.. the old one it felt like a chore to get through it.
