    Badge Questions

Posi, there has been great debate on how to earn the time badges in PVP. Can you once and for all explain the do's and don'ts of how to earn it.

    THANK YOU

    Sincerely,

    Badge-a-holic
  2. Is the advanced workshop/forge backwards compatible? Meaning can I build all items available in basic with the advanced version?
  3. I got 2 Spider ones last night. One for defeating ARachnos and the second for hitting 15 and got the gladiator badge for Spider Smasher I think.
  4. Does the Mez/Hold Badge also count in PvP or only PvE? (Same for the Damage Taken badge)

i'm curious if someone builds something for the base and adds a personal item to base, than leader ends up upgrading base or deleting room that the item was placed in where does the item go?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The item was sold back to the SG per say. Meaning that the prestige used to place it is returned to the sg, but the item is lost and would have to be rebuilt. Now if your leader did it the long way (meaning dismanteling the room and rebuilding it elsewhere) he/she did it wrong. There is a "move room" option now that transfers the room as-is to the location of choice without losing any items in it.
  6. So even zoning into a mission in a PVP zone resets the clock?

5 hours of straight PVP...is that right?
  7. WEll I have the tech teleporter and click all around it but nothing happens. First Person View? where, on the terminal inside the Unit? (meaning I have to be standing in it?)
  8. which base items are bugged currently?

Also can someoone explain how the teleporters work? I have the basic teleporter and a beacon, and it doesn't work. Second how do I get the "return to base" option when defeated?
  9. No....actually I had enough to run it and place it but it wouldn't turn on. I then thought "Hey...these magical types don't use computers" so I switched my Arcane Control to Tech Control and voila! a working computer. Threw my whole design concept out the door and must redesign...but oh well. Is there an Arcane Version of the mission computer?
  10. In the last call for origin pieces I saw that people posted links on the forum, etc. I emailed my pieces via submissions email. Will multi posting (email, forum, etc) make a difference, easier, harder??? Also can I submit two origins again for this theme or do submited ones already count?
  11. Actually, Lord Recluse has discussed this already. The time is cumulative. If you zone or log, you get it once reentering the PVP zone. Although I read somehere that you should try zoning/logging out of SG mode as this has helped some people (plz don't quote me on the latter...just a suggestion)
  12. Is the sea witch mission given by Bocor the same as the one stated given by Golden Roller?
  13. what goes attached to a mission computer to make it work?
  14. There was some debate yesterday with an sg mate about hidden contacts. Does anyone have a list of these so called "mystery contacts"? For example, there is someone on CAD you can only talk to once you get the ghostbuster (or something like that) badge for trapping ghosts. Same for a SI contact with a scrap-something badge. This would be very helpful. Thanks
  15. I actually have...not a TM hero like Statesman, or Aurora or Mynx, but a hero nonetheless....doing my cape mission I fought 2 heroes! OUCH!

IIRC, Strikebuster is a separate one-shot mission. I believe the mobs in there are part of the "Dockworkers" label, and not scrapyarders.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I believe you are right...in retrospect the labels may be right (since they are similar to scrapyarders annoyance) but yes thx for the correction

Anyone know if we can get the Annihilator badge yet?

I've only taken down Aurora, Minx, Luminary, Back-Alley and Infernal so far, so I know if I'm going to get it before I7 I've got a ways to go.

[/ QUOTE ]You've taken these heroes down in CoV before lvl 17? How? What contacts? I am level 23 and heve ne'er seen a one!
  18. Further, does the Ghost of Scrapyard kill give a badge too or is it like Nessie in Croatoa that you have to kill twice for the badge?
  19. [ QUOTE ]
For Strike Buster, it's 100 Scrapyarders of any type.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Are there 2 badges for this? I just did a mission in Sharkhead with a team for "Stop the Strike on the Dock" or something in line with that. At the end of the mish I got the accomplishment badge called Strikebuster. And there was easy 100 scrapyarders in there, but no villain badge. Can someone confirm this...
  20. Thank You for the list...follow up question:

What do you need to get a mission computer? in what room does that go in?
  21. Can anyone provide a list of SF contacts and their respective zones and level caps? Thanks

When you log back in the alt that originally had the mission, they will have the badge, as well as the alt who was actually in the mission. In the case of the "retrieve the Loa Bone" mission, I even got the temp power when I logged back in.

If you do it to set up a farm for some hard-to-find kill badge, like trolls or tsoo, the alt who logs out will not make any progress on the kill badge. I did not mean to suggest that, but may have.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Aye...this technique only works on mission badges, not villain badges. However, if you have a decent mission that helps farm skulls, Shivans, CoT what have you...then you can switch alts to farm it and get those badges individually(granted you will need a very patient team to accomplish this)

ok.... let me see if I understand you...

I can get a mission, invite at least one person, have that person stay in the mission map, log off, (from inside the mission) bring my alt in, finish the mission, then the alt that I logged will have the badge? Somehow, that sounds incorrect to me. Please clarify.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This works for *missions* that give Badges, like Spelunker.

If an alt of yours owns the mission, this alt will receive the badge for a completion of this mission regardless if he is logged in, or ever takes part of the actual mission; the mission and rewards are tied to the owner. Whoever else takes part in the mission (and stays in the mission) will also be granted the mission badge at completion.

I second that...it's the old Jedi Badge Swap Trick
