Recently, all inspirations on Infinity and Triumph were lost due to a game bug. After investigating ways to compensate for this bug we discovered that a complete restoration of all inspirations lost would be next to impossible and undesirable for some players.

However, we understand that some "rare" inspirations are collectors items and more valuable to some players.

To compensate, on Thursday, March 2nd at 1 pm Central (2pm Eastern, 11am Pacific) we will be restoring lost rare inspirations on Infinity and Triumph.

The inspirations that will be restored are:

Ambrosia.
Any of the 4 "present" inspirations.
Coal.

If you had any of these inspirations on the 27th of January, 2006 then the inspirations will be restored.

IMPORTANT!!!! To get these inspirations restored, you MUST have an empty inspiration slot for the rare inspiration to go in. If you do not have an empty slot then you will NOT get the restored inspiration.

PLEASE - help us spread the word in-game about the restoration so that everyone that lost a "rare" inspiration has an empty slot ready on the 2nd.

Well, we are still working on getting Cuppa as the City Rep. Along with getting a "Save Jackson Turner" mission.

And you can make a Huge Female Body, Put the height, legs, shoulder, and pretty much every other slider all the way up. Presto, huge Female.

Crikey people, I am 5'4" and about a buck 25 standing in the rain. I don't need the huge option. Just move the body slider to athletic.

Miri says he thinks I am an NPC in Steel Canyon. Supposedly there is female NPC sitting outside a coffee shop with a laptop that says random "cuppa-esque" things. Maybe that's me? I am still waiting on coordinates to check it out.

A big thanks to everyone that came out to the event last night. It was great to finally meet everyone face to face and have a chance to chat with a bunch of people. We really do have the best community here at CoX.

I only wish I had actually gotten to play cards instead of just building a deck.

Now, Isolator. I have made the suggestion a few times to somehow work another chance at Isolator into an event or something. As you have seen, it has not been a successful suggestion so far. It may never be.

As far as I know - the devs have no plans for including an alternate method to get isolator if you did not get it in outbreak.

UPDATE:

Due to an overwhelming response to the event we are going to have to cap the number of sign-ups to 250 people. If you have not registered and you are coming to the meet and greet you better sign up quick!

We will do more of these in the future - and next time I promise it will be somewhere that will hold more people!

The bare legs option for Male and Huge body types has been added to an internal build. It will be coming down the QA path and to a server near you soon.

I think we have over 200 sign ups now. I can't wait to meet everyone and hope that this event to help players meet other players IRL is the beginning of many great gaming friendships (and more meet-ups!).

My Synapse hero beat Arctic_Sun's Statesman hero last night while playing the CCG with about 5 other people. Synapse is a blaster, States is a Tank. I just kept pelting him for tiny damage and forcing him to be unable to get any cards. *muahahaha*

Seriously, I played for the first time really last night. We did a two on two team game and then had a bunch of one on one matches. Teaming was cool - we had a few rules questions (we would all like a complete rule book) but when in doubt we checked AEG's forums or defaulted to "How would this work in the MMO?" and it usually answered the question.

It was interesting to see that some matches went pretty fast - while others took so long the place closed on us before they could finish.

It seems to depend on how many powers you both have out - if you only have a few powers out the game moves quickly - but if you both get more than 4 powers + sidekicks out then you better be ready for the long haul.

I had heard people say "its just like the MMO" but when I played Mynx (claws/regen) it hit home. Awry smacked me with her tricked out blaster for a ton of damage - until I was almost dead, then on my next turn I healed back nearly all of it with regen powers. I just started laughing out loud because it was so similar to the game.

Then Arctic_Sun pulled out his Statesman card and whacked Mynx on the head and "nerfed" her.

Good Times.

I really like the CCG - can't wait to play with some of you guys at the player-meet!

The servers will require an additional maintenance window today, 2/7/06 at 1pm CST. The downtime will be approximately 1 hour. There will be a game patch associated with this downtime. We apologize for the maintenance outside our normal window.

All servers should now be fixed and back online.

The hotfix will be applied to ALL live servers starting at 7pm CST. The estimated downtime for all servers is 1 hour.

After the hotfix is applied to Triumph, we will bring down all the other servers to apply the hotfix to them as well. This is so that the issue does not happen on other servers. I will update this thread with more information as it becomes available.

Attention - Due to an internal error, the Triumph Server will need to be brought down for maintenance. The fix will take approximately 3 hours. The badge data (ONLY the badge data) for the server will be rolled back to it's state at 3:20 EST. All progress on badges made since that time will be lost. We apologize for the problems and the maintenance should fix the error.

Due to a problem with the mitos - Hamidon will not be spawned on any servers until the problem can be corrected. We have no ETA on a resolution at this time, but will work diligently to correct the issue.

We apologize for the short notice and hope to have Hamidon back online soon.

I love endolphins - I wonder if they sell them at Pocket D now that the event is on the test server? Humm - I'll have to go look.

Hotfix going to live servers now - we will be up as soon as possible!

We are working on a hotfix to resolve the issue with the servers. It is coming down the pipe as fast as we can get it put together and tested.

Just wanted to say everyone bring your CoH CCG decks - We'll have some around for door prizes too - We'll be playing at CyberJocks or at a coffee shop nearby.

We are experiencing issues with the servers currently. Players may experience lost connections or be unable to connect to some servers. We are working towards a resolution.

This is a reminder that posting to ridicule another person or group is against the forum rules and has been for quite some time. From the message board rules:

No character assassination threads

Threads that single out a player for ridicule or to accuse someone of actions in-game will be removed without notice. Repeatedly targeting another person is considered ongoing harassment and is a severe violation of the forum rules. In-game violations need to be reported via the appropriate channels, such as the GM system, and email support. If you believe that in-game GMs and the support system have not provided a sufficient or timely response, you may submit an inquiry to members of the forum staff via PM. Public posts of such accusations will be construed as attempts to cause antagonism for its own sake.

This applies to SG bashing for any reason - including PvP concerns.

This also applies to posting to ridicule another poster for actions done on the boards. Issues with other posters should be handled by PMing me or Alexa if they violate forum rules. If you just don't like them - the boards have an ignore feature - use it.

Harassment will not be tolerated and can result in a forum ban.

Hey everyone.

We know you've been having fun with your Avatars lately, but several of you are starting to push the boundaries of decency for a Teen-rated game. We wanted to give you a heads-up that starting now, we're going to be more diligent about taking action against people using inappropriate Avatars - whether they be of a sexual (risqué), violent, religious or other unsuitable nature.


When choosing a board Avatar use this simple rule of thumb. Ask yourself, "Is this image appropriate for a T-rated game and/or something that the CoH moderators (or other players) might be offended by?" If the answer could be yes, simply don't use that Avatar. The same goes for forum display names. It's time for everyone to start exercising a little more good judgment.


Moving forward, if you are identified by a moderator as having an inappropriate Avatar or forum display name, you will be notified via private message that your Avatar has been removed. You will also be told why it was deemed to be inappropriate. After you have reviewed this notice, you may immediately find yourself a new avatar that is suitable for use. Please keep in mind that after an initial incident, if problems continue with your Avatar or display name, further action will be taken which may lead to a permanent ban from the message board.


We have complete faith that now that you are aware of the issue at hand, you will respect the rules, exercise that good judgment, and continue to make this one of the very best message board communities out there. Thanks very much for your cooperation regarding this matter!
