    Jump Kick

    [ QUOTE ]
Frankly, There's already and entire set of Martial Arts kicks.

I like Jump Kick because it's silly and cartoony.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, but that set is just kicks, and not much help if you just want to add one good-looking (or thematic) kick to a character using a more punchy/bashy/shooty/slashy powerset.

    Jump Kick

I'm not entirely sure it'd be feasible to change the animation to exactly what is being asked for, and still keep the animation time tight, and as fast-executing as it is curently. There's also some issue with positioning that gives me pause for consideration as well.

There's the leap, the connection, and then landing. All of which I'm not 100% sure would be an improvement sped to 1.5 seconds.

This is all, of course, supposition, and while the current animation is less then ideal (admittedly), I'm not sure the suggested alternative is all that much better. :/

Leap, connection, and landing would be a part of all theoretical jump kick animations, including the one currently used. This suggestion is just to change from an awkward-looking two-legged kick to a more martial artist, one-legged kick.

As far as positioning, I don't really understand the problem there either. The power as-is involves the toon rolling forward on the ground - this doesn't alter positioning as far as I can tell. Also, the video I linked displays ways of performing a flying side kick without running forward much, if at all, so there's no need for a big build up either.

    Jump Kick

Am I the only one who thinks the animation for this Leaping pool power just looks... silly? I have a toon who, for thematic reasons, it would be great to stick a Jump Kick onto as a finisher, yet I can't because it just looks far too cartoonish to consider. I'd prefer just something simple, like a flying side kick. They could add on a backstep or frontflip at the beginning so the attack takes the same amount of time, and they don't have to change the damage or recharge or anything else. I just wish the animation looked better, is all.

    For reference: Flying Side Kick

Does anyone else feel the same?
