  1. Anyone have any information on what happened to either Blazing Justice Squad or Reckless Endangerment Squad (think that was the villain group)

    I've been away from the game for a while and im looking to reconnect with some friends from Justice... just cant find em

  3. i started using gameos from your suggestion in your first tweak thread... gotta say coh loves it..lmao

    windows hates it, and i cant go to windows update while im running gameos as my shell, but thats ok, quick reboot and all is well.

    the only extra thing ive had to do (to get cov running smoothly) was put shader qaulity (in game) to low

    ive tried it out, at best its a one shot use (especially if you have the health power like i do), at worst its 2-9 points more damage on an azttack (or so ive seen at my levels against a 14th level gordvord in the hollows)

    to use it effectively you have to be near death, a place all good blasters try to avoid, and most ive seen (including me) will have already ran by then.

    its just not enough oomph behind it.... perhaps giving us a crit at low levels is good, like auto crit, we are still at risk of course.

    so because my fire tankers burn now takes about what... 30 seconds to a minute to recharge, and it does less damage, AND it scatters a group... thats a good thing?!

Have you been on the test server and checked things out for yourselves? Most of you have not but think you know what is going on. I've tested a bunch of my toons on test and there is almost no difference! Oh wait, my blaster and controllers have awesome new features to help them do more damage and be more fun. Both my tanks, ice/ice and stone/stone, kick totall butt. Yes ice tanks are powefull, heck I've herded Dreck faster than a fire tank one level higher than me. If you suck at this game, the bad things happening to you on test, if you've bothered going there, are not caused by issue 5 'nerfs' but by the fact that you suck. The devs have created an amazing game, do you really think they could ruin it just like that? Give me a break and stop whinning like little girls and use your brains. Read the power descriptions, think about how the game works and learn to play. All this started with invul tanks going nuts over the fact tha the invul power set won't be tantamount to cheating anymore. They now take damage and its freaking them out cause it never happened before. They are panicking at the site of the little red numbers above their heads. Get the info about issue 5 for yourselves and test for yourselves instead of listening to wild rumors and bellyaching. Booohooo every issue has evil nerfs. Been playing since issue 1 and I've not seen anything bad come out of the updates. I can't imagine the crying that would be going on if shield functionality went back to being like before issue 3. You could not stack mez shields with other shields for example. My God now that sucked!! But it got better didn't it? Stop the bitchin.

    ive tested the changes to my fire/super strength tanker...

    burn was majorly screwed over... does this mean my tanker sucks?... no, it means the devs were overly generous with the nerf bat.

However, can you name me an immobilizing power that fire tankers get that we can really depend on? Or are we now supposed to take a certain secondary, team with a certain AT (with certain powersets) to get this? That sounds kind of...well sad. If you are going to force any powerset to play with other powersets it takes some, ok a lot (imo) of fun out of the game. Plus, if you are going to do this, you REALLY need to stop changing the way powersets work every issue. You have some hard core gamers no doubt, but you also have the casual gamer that cannot start all over every time you make a change like this that ruins a dou or trio team they had.

    I still maintain that you can leave burn the way it is, expect remove the fear portion. If you do that, I would say that burn would be a much more balanced power. I would also rather see the immoblization protection moved to a different power (as I still don't see a lot of fire tankers taking burn), and knockback added into the set as well.

    I think before you had a good thing going with the 4 tanker powersets. Each of them could do their job (I still don't want to get into ice...), but they all did it a different way. Why are we trying so hard to make each tanker powerset tank the same way? At least it feels that way.

    you made an awesome point, that im not sure you are aware of... get this... statesmen and all the devs say they dont want soloing as much, right?... that we should be in teams

    and yet they are nerfing burn so that even teaming it isnt useful. you pointed out that fire tankers cant do immobilize effects, but other AT's can, so by statesmen saying that its a bad thing, hes actually disagreeing with himself that we should team more.
  12. well, i tested my fire tanker on test last night, and i have to say that with the burn changes, you take away offense from the firey aura set

    right now i have blazing aura, fire shield, plasma shield, and burn... if burn drops to temperature control (or whatever the name was) levels of usefulness, then fire tankers get 2 powers they can avoid (3 if you found rise of the phoenix) seriously guys.... can you really keep messing up powers so that people dont take them?
  13. i had a chance of teaming in a very power team yesterday, 3 defenders of various kinds, 1 scrapper, and myself, a fire/SS tanker... man it was something else to have 2 rows of various buffs/debuffs going

    yes i had some debuffs frm the bad guys, but man 2 rows of stuff?, ok so yeh, at least 5-6 of the icons were mine (blazing aura, fire shield, plasma shield, sprint, swift, hurdle), but still..lol
