thanks, I appreciate the advice, I got to say the boards here after reading a bunch of messages seem very friendly compared to other games message boards.

I know how to rp quite well. Been doing it for awhile, just in other fantasy medieval games. This is a different beast as it were.

I also noticed that when some people talk to each other they use their characters "real" name versus their hero name. Is it considered improper to try and use the hero name?

Hello everyone, I am completely new to CoH. I really dig the atmosphere of this game, over any other. I have played countless MMO's and this just happens to have a great feel to it.
My question lies in, where does one go for good RP? I tried the place called the Pocket D. It seems its the typical goth club atmosphere. How does one approach someone in that setting. I kept seeing differnt fonts and bubbles above peoples heads.
