Something completely different. A non City of Heroes original character.
Four-Five-Two (452) is one of the main protagonists from my Manuscript Project, and is a 'daughter' of Colonel Biryukov (Comrade Hero) and Operations, one of the primary antagonists.
As envisioned by the talented RebeccaSX of deviantART.

That is just amazing work, looks very real in the details!
I would just about kill to have art work like that or even the skill to do work like that myself.
Grats! -
Quote:Errr.... hopefully this will keep you huffing. So much rock'in art ... hard ... to keep .... up... huff huff.
Really like watching this thread.
My new-ish Fortunata Widow Galatea as photo-manipulated by ChillyPlasma.
The model in question in Ariel Piper Fawn (also known by many other names), an erotic model and minor adult actress with stunning red hair and green eyes.

That is wow, just wow... and a great teamup as well!

Quote:Going to agree with Juggertha here as well. You only have to look at the volume of propaganda images that were produced during the Second World War. Some of them remain iconic to this day. It's also not difficult to see the 'modern mythology' imagery that some of the WWII posters try to convey - particularly those that came of the Third Reich and Soviet Union - a lot of super soldier and super peasant/laborer posters that deliberately set out to invoke patriotic fervor through the emulation of 'mythical' ideals.Sure. The imagery from WWII has always struck me as quite stunning. It was, of course, a horrific time in history, but it was also one of the first times that modern media recording was used on that scale. I grew up watching documentaries about it, and I think it influenced my art.
Likewise, tales of mythology and 'the gods' has always made me wonder about the lines between heroes, legends, and history.
Hope that helps clarify it a bit.
Anyway, taking my thinking hat off and putting my visual appreciation hat back on.
Love all the influence sheets that have been presented so far, particularly the writing influence ones! -

Quote:Thanks for the feedback, I'll pass it on. If it generates custom for these talented artists, so much the better!Last Avatar has a great look to her. I love the pose. The sash adds a lot of motion low to match the motion of the hair above. The face is interesting, almost 3d - I like it. The upraised hand, like she just put her glove on, is just classic and I'm digging it.
You keep coming up with awesome pieces CH. -
I think it's a great idea, the influence maps.
Seen them cropping up all over deviantART in the past month.
Will have to get around to doing my own one soon-ish (emphasis on the -ish). -
Definitely agree. Thanks for sharing such a great story.

Fantastic. Don't miss this opportunity if you can.

Quote:Very, very cool. First time I've ever received a sketch done on an ipod touch. Thank you very much!I just bought the sketchbook app for my ipod touch and decided to give it a try. I felt a little inspired by your character Comrade Hero and did a little quick sketch for you. ENJOY!

Quote:Agreed. It's not very often that you get a penciller of Paulo's caliber doing commission pieces that you shouldn't pass up if you can. Albtraum came out beautifully.Bunch of great additions here CH and they each have great qualities going for them but for me the Barrios piece steals the show. I've been watching Paulo for a loooong time now and he's right up there with Greenie and Nema on my list of favorite pencilers ever... this latest work he did for you is no exception to his consistently great linework. Wow.

"Small Exceeding". Other variations include "preponderance of the small" and "small surpassing". Its inner trigram is ☶ (艮 gèn) bound = (山) mountain, and its outer trigram is ☳ (震 zhèn) shake = (雷) thunder.

Bonus no-points for anyone who can tell me the meaning of the I-Ching symbol behind my little scrapper.

Aww..shucks.
Quote:Awesome additions, Comrade.
That War Bride has one BFG. o.OAll the better to swat pesky Circle of Thorns mages with
Oddly enough I tend to use War Bride in-game (AR/NRG) more than Albtraum (Ice/Electric). It's just so much fun using a blaster with a big honking gun.
