  1. Very nice Alex...outstanding work!
  2. Hello Forum Art Deities!

I am looking to commision an artist for a unique project, and I'm hoping I can find someone with the needed skills here...

A few years ago a game came out called "Freedom Force" which was made by Irrational Studios (which is now a part of 2k Game Studios), I recently rediscovered it in my collection and have since remembered why I enjoyed playing it in the first place.

One thing that is different now from then, is that now thanks to City of Heroes, my own personal heroes have come to life in a digital form.

One of the unique things about "Freedom Force" is that the developers actually encouraged modding the game and creating custom charecter skins/meshes to include the player's own heroes in the game.

So I'm looking for someone with experiance in creating custom skins and mods for games like "Freedom Force" or "The Sims". I've tried myself, but I just don't have the technical skill to pull it off.

This is a paying job, and I'm not shy about paying well for good art.

I'm hoping that someone out there can help me out with this...

Any one interested feel free to PM me, and we can discuss things further...

Any help at all would be appreciated.

I throw myself to your tender mercy oh Art Gods!

    Clay

Nah...though fireballs tend to leave a mark...

I just wanted to thank you again Alex, it looks awesome!
  4. I was ambushed by a gang of freakshow and a couple of warriors, I took em down easy enough...but after I thought I got em all, but I kept getting shot in the rear and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

    Then I looked up...
  5. Hah! I finally got a shot I can live with here is how it will appear on the wiki page after editing.

For those who are interested here is the original which I took in King's Row after about a hundred attempts....

All editing was done with the photobucket online editor...which I found was suprisingly versatile...

Thank you to those who responded, your advice was quite helpful.
  6. Truimph, and level 24 currently...heh I've been focussing mostly on snagging screenshots lately and not enough time leveling....

I'll get there eventually...I just spend to much time sniffing the flowers...until they try to eat me.
  7. Doh! Oh well...guess it's back to smacking into glass windows...
  8. ....that's not a bad idea...thank you.
  9. Normally I would say yes...however I unfortunetly respeced out of hover once I got Fly, and took Air Superiority instead...and as much as I want the fly pose, I don't want to waste a respec on getting hover back when I'll never use it for anything else...
  10. Yup...that's about what I'm going for...
  11. Very nice, the Gyrfalcon pictures are much closer for what I'm aiming for...

I wish I had a high enough toon on virtue, the version of pigion I have there is to low however...don't even have hover yet....

Well I'll give it a shot, thank you for the advice...

Now to turn this thread into something a little more interesting...

I invite everyone to post all your flying, or aerial related screen shots here....

Show the groundpounders what it's like to live in the clouds!
  12. Greetings Oh Awesome Artists!

    I need some advice...

I'm currently making an information page on my charecter (wiki style) and I need one more screen shot for the full effect...but this one screen shot keeps eluding me.

So I need some advice...how do you capture the epic flying poses that I've seen floating around in screenshots on the forum.

Given that the pageup button doesn't work while your flying (more over the camera resets every time I try to use it while flying...) I've been using the scroll button method to try and get the camera into the proper position.

The problem is, that when I do that, my toon has a tendancy to fly straight up into the air, or zip into scenery that I don't want as a part of the pic...or crash head first into a building. (Don't worry, thick head.)

The best I have achieved so far has been this

While I don't mind the War Wall in the back ground, I would like something a little more genaric, but every time I try to fly somewhere with scenery I either hit something...or fly to high to fast for me to get a decent close up shot.

Granted that image did provide a very cool looking heat map but it's not quite the style I want for the wiki page.

So...any advice for an avid flyer? Know any good spots to take nice city scape images? I've been mostly hanging around Steel Canyon and Galaxy City, as they have the brighter atomsphere I'm looking for. I'd love to do Founders Falls...but the only way I can go through that zone without being beaten to a pulp is with invisibilty on...and while invisibility can make for some interesting screen shots...it's not quite what I want in the way for the flying pose...

I humbly ask the art gods and photowizards for your help....
