It was said in another thread that Cryptic jacked up the price for license renewal for the engine up so high that NCSoft was unwilling to pay it. Venting at Cryptic would be the appropriate thing. It wasn't a Paragon conspiracy. It was a corporate shanking.

My girl Hurricane Circe will be somewhere in Croatoa. Probably on Jack's throne.

I wanted to throw in my own "Thank You" to the devs and everyone at Paragon. I didn't play as long as some who started in Beta, and I only played for about 4 years before going to a month to month.. but wow.

CoH was my first MMO, and I remember spending WAY too many hours playing after work, blowing up everything I could find to blow off some steam. When CoV came out I gleefully switched to red side and stayed there for the rest of my game time. I recently moved my Mastermind over to blue, and am still tickled at zombies in Atlas.

To put it plainly, I am really, REALLY bummed right now. Not only because a game that I really do love is shutting down, but also because a lot of people lost their jobs today. I wish you all the very best and hope you can find something soon doing something you love.
