While i'm thinking about it, since we were discussing what we were wanting to do once we all hit 50, i had a couple toon concepts, so I created a Def and a blaster that i could use when we start over. Both of their basic concepts could be converted into other AT's if necessary.

I do Something that most people don't do, I use the Number Pad for movement. I never got in to the WASDX Movement keys, even back in the days of Doom/Quake/Counterstrike. I always preferred num pad for my right hand and number keys for my left. And I can use the mouse with either hand as it sits between me and the keyboard below the space bar.
8 is forward, 7 & 9 are move left and right, 4 & 6 are turn left and right, 2 is backward, 5 is Face Target, 1 and 2 vary on which toon I'm on. Normally they are "OH CRAP!" Binds. Like Hibernate and F1 (Green Insp) on Angry Woodsman, or Transfusion and Transference on my Kin.
I also use the QWERTYUI Keys for Heal Other on my Emp and Speed Boost on my Kin
Q is Teammember 1, W is Teammember 2, and so on.
I've been wondering. Does anyone else use similar keymaps? Num Pad for movement and such? -

ok i assume 1st person is where you cant see any part of your toon and 3rd person is where you see all of your toon...? -

this wednesday was supposed to be my once a month to work 2nd shift, but instead i'm being sent out of town for a boring all day training seminar. As long as i manage to stay awake thru it, i should be back in town in time to play.

looks like we have 3 yes, 1 no and me a "whatever". No one else has really posted anything about it. Guess a descision needs to be made if we are going to combine to run it this week or maybe we could schedule an extra weekend day sometime to run it.

once the team gets to 50 is when the team status is over from what I gathered. at that point I can go back and do other missions (or right now if they are lower as to not pass the team up)
Course, some people i've run into in games have different ideas about that. (i tend to like static teams vs pug's)
Also, wether or not i run a TF really doesn't bother me. I really don't go after badges etc.. so its no biggie to me. They are just nice XP. -
Okay
Here is a brief recap and an opening to discuss the LGTF.
Last night is was brought up that we should run the LGTF (45+) as a combined group next week. Some seemed to be in favor and some not. Lets get opinions as to when we should run it.
In the old static group (which was the predecessor of this one), we waited until we all hit 50 and ran it as a celebration. Of course there were only 3 of us left at that time.
I have no problem with running it next week (Aug 12) or on aug 26th. The 26th would actually work better for me. Can't do it the 19th. Or we can wait awhile yet, or we can run it and run it a 2nd time when the toons that havn't hit 45 yet hit the 45 mark.
What does everyone want to do? -

I don't mind the new forums because i was already somewhat used to this system. Another forum i read uses the same program.
You weren't the only one having major issues. We had a whole team DC that Hancy never made it back from and a whole bunch of problems just trying to move, much less enter a mish or fight. It made it interesting at times.
If you try to catch up, Miner and Sia made it to 46. I don't remember what level Charged's toon made it to.
Hopefully we'll see ya next week.

I was talking with Slacker this week and we were thinking about starting a little early this week and see if we can get a good Pick-up-group going. Should be lots of people on.
Maybe around 7pm ET ?
As of last sunday, Charged_Atmo wasn't gong to be able to make it this week.

you're welcome to join us on our wednesday villian team. Only a few of us left there. We are about the same level as the sunday team. We start at 8, just like on sundays.
For some reason, i doubt if tonights team will be similar to last weeks. I think every one of us (on a PUG of 8) had knockback. There were villians flying all over the screen all night long. Least i wasn't the only one knocking the baddies away from the tank

FYI
Just Obscure and me the last 2 weeks. Last week we played other toons, but this week we had a pretty good PUG going and gained almost a level. -
This is my one wednesday a month that i have to work 2nd shift, but it looks like i should be able to get out early tonight, so hopefullly i should just be a little late to finish the TF.

tanks yes move slow through, but can live through most. blasters would have to be quick and killing machines. defenders power teams tend to get the name "Mage tanks" they have high deffences and ranged attacks that are not as strong as blasters. Problem is finding something everyone want to do. My choice would be blasters or scrappers.

I'd be willing to discuss any varation that anyone would be interested in trying. Now, my only 50 so far is a blaster, but i'd consider doing another if thats what people want. I'm willing to try about anything, especially since I brought up the idea in the first place. -

I know we have been plagued by RL issues and we have lost players this summer, but I'm hoping that by late summer or early fall we can have everyone to 50.
Once we hit 50, would you be interested in starting over at 5th level again? Now here is the idea i had. What if we set up the new team with a theme, instead of just random toons.
A few examples:
All the toons are winged Valkyries
or
All the toons have elemental based powers (fire, earth, ice etc...) no weapons, Martial arts etc...
or
All the toons are the same AT, but have different power sets
Just an idea that i had, what does everyone think? -

Since only a few of made it this week, we decided to switch to other toons for the evening so we didn't pull too far ahead of everyone else.

Actually it does sometimes work, If you would belive it, I hit random about 5 times and Sialina current costume with a few color mods is what popped up. I've never actually used a random costume before. but this one fit her so well.
I like to hit random a few times each time i design a toon. Sometimes you can get ideas from them. -
As far as i know, its the normal start time of 8 ET. Hoping to start as soon as everybody can get there.
